Maybe Ever After is a short but enjoyable friends to lovers romance. However, it’s not the same old storyline you might expect. Cassie Graham puts her own unique twist on this romance.
Brynn is sweet, nerdy, easily embarrassed, and a self-proclaimed dork. (I have to admit that I identified with Brynn’s nerdy, dorky self.) Easton is confident and self assured. They’ve been best friends for years but neither realized the other harbored stronger feelings. That being said, both Brynn and Easton drove me crazy at times. They made waffling an art form and gave me whiplash with their mood changes.
The plot was interesting and somewhat unique. I loved the peeks at Brynn and Easton’s job. What an interesting life they lead; I’m a little envious!
The intimate scenes were hot, but the mood was killed by the characters’ constant overthinking and monologuing. Who talks that much in the heat of the moment? It was just too much for me.
This was my first book by Cassie Graham. Overall, I liked it, and I would definitely read more from this author in the future.
