Good quality product, only thing is if you are in Australia, try to buy this from Amazon.com rather than Amazon.com.au, they ship it from a different warehouse and the shipping speed varies vastly, also I didn't receive the base plate from the Australian product but did receive it with the American product.
So I have taken my time before finally submitting a review but I can you tell that after months of use, this thing is fantastic. By far this is the best car mount you will find. From the flexibility to mount it anywhere or way you want in your car to the fact that they put so much thought into the design and that you can adjust the mount just about any way imaginable once your phone is installed into the mount. The instructions, packaging, and look of this mount is very cool and impressive as well. I highly recommend and will be putting this in all my cars. The other thing I like is they left a nice little space so you can insert your charging cable. I always hate trying to plug in your cell phone to charge when driving. With this the car mount holds it securely so you can push your cable in. Go ahead and get this and see exactly why this is the best. Thanks and hope this review helps!
I'm always looking for a better phone case and phone car holder system. I tend to use Waze for every commute, to know about traffic and accidents and cops. As soon as I opened this item my heart sank because I thought I'd have to post a bad review. In the past I've used some of those suction type car phone holders and they always failed in hot temperatures. So I wasn't expecting much.
But when I started installing it I noticed that they use a different system. There is a non-permanent 3M type adhesive that you then affix a smooth plastic plate to. After that the suction goes onto the plastic plate. In Colorado this week I parked my car outside all week, and we had temperatures from the low 50's up into the 90's (much warmer inside the car with the greenhouse effect). The suction didn't release or falter once. I'm actually very thoroughly and pleasantly surprised.
The holder is a bit bulky, but that also means there's more degrees of freedom to position it exactly right. I also like that while I was trying putting cards on the back of my case this holder extended far enough out to still grip the phone fine.
I'd been using a holder that fits over a vent. I figured I'd be going back to that one. But especially with the hot weather this week I found myself actually really preferring this Maxboost holder and opening up that vent for more cooling. I took the other one completely off.
I'm actually really surprised, I didn't think I would like this product when I first saw it. But it won me over.
I installed the phone mount a couple of days after I received it. I did not use it everyday, only 4-5 times a week. It worked good for about 6 weeks. Then it started to not hold it’s position. I would get it adjusted how I wanted it, but it would start slipping out of position. I have readjusted and tightened the holder but the arm will no longer stay where I position it. Very cheaply made. I wish it had stopped working before the return deadline. I really only used it for about 5 weeks before it not longer worked. I would NOT recommend this product!
