So far so good! I've been using this for about a week now and have noticed a big difference in back pain and round ligament pains. It's super easy to put on, it stays in place and pretty comfortable! I've tried other belly bands and as a plus sized expecting mother the others never stayed in place and were not very comfortable. I recommend trying this one.
I ordered this item during my second trimester because my hips were hurting. It is good for a few uses then it starts to over stretch and does not keep it’s shape. I wore this on a plane trip for a funeral because I was doing ALOT of walking from one plane to another and through the airport. It became bothersome after 1 plane trip and I had to take it off because it became very uncomfortable and it felt like it was cutting off circulation. The material does not itch in the front of the belly but, it does itch on the back. So I had to wear a regular bump support under it so that the wires and material would not irritate my skin. Over all, I feel that this is only good for the 2nd trimester if you are petite plus size and are known to carry larger babies but nothing further then 2nd trimester. It is comfortable for a few uses but, not for long ride trips weather flying or driving long distances.
So glad I bought this. It's truly is plus size; I wear 2xl maternity clothes at 8 months pregnant and this belt still has room to wrap. It's also comfortable to wear right against my skin whereas my previous belt was not. I still have back pain but wearing this during waking hours has helped me tremendously. I'm a home health nurse so not on my feet constantly but I do move quite a bit during the day. I definitely recommend this.
This band is very bulky and gives the bottom of your bump a very square look if you try to wear it under clothes. It's plenty long enough to wrap around me at 30+ weeks but not comfortable and is more annoying than it is helpful. It's so long that its also hard to put on and get tight enough alone.
It gets the job done. Kind-of a job to get on considering the velcro is in the back. Best to have a partner help you put it on. Material folds as you wear it and it's hard to keep flat. I wear it over my clothes to help with the comfort. Material isn't that soft. Kind of scratchy. Makes me itch worse than normal.
The instructions say to use a hook and loop to help fasten the belt. There is no hook and loop. Also the band really messed up my back. I am 5'6" but it took up over half my back making it super uncomfortable and pinched between my bra band and waist band (which is closer to my hips). Any potential relief was overshadowed by the pain and discomfort this band caused.
This is perfect for trying to get some house work done I don’t feel nearly as fatigued or uncomfortable while using this product. Currently 20 weeks and there is plenty of stretch to make it full term.
I am 5’7 26 weeks pregnant 230 lbs and this band fits pretty well. It even Has room for growth. After wearing it for one whole day I felt like it did help relieve some hip pain. Would recommend if someone was looking!
