magnificent descriptions of maritime battles. manipulations and intrigues within the Roman senate and within the supreme council of Carthage, together with personal fights between the heroes of the story. All those things describe in a way that you can't stop reading till the end of the story, with expectation for the next book.
it is one of the best books written about the subject, entertaining and a must reading for those who are interested in this period.
