Product Description

Adam Fischer doesn’t believe in second chances. Heartbroken after his lover Charlie leaves him to chase his music career in L.A., Adam is convinced that meaningless one-night-stands are all life has in store for him.
Until fate drops Penn Shields in his lap.
Penn is a young, talented designer fresh out of college who has just landed his dream job as a wardrobe assistant in Queen Victoria theatre, where Adam is performing in a popular musical.
He’s also Charlie's brother.
The last thing Penn wants is to follow in his brother’s footsteps, especially since they haven’t spoken in years. However, the attraction he feels for Adam grows with each day, and soon resisting it proves to be futile.
As Adam and Penn get to know each other intimately, they both realise that first impressions may be deceiving, and that, sometimes, second chances come in the same packaging.

*Stand-alone novel* *80 000 words*

This was my first time to read anything from this author and I am so very glad this is what I tried because I will definitely be reading more from her. The imagery is so good that I actually feel like I was there in the theater with them, watching the plays that they were a part of. I felt like I was a part of their lives and the ups and downs that they had to go through. And OH MY GOSH the chemistry between Adam and Penn was HOT, like my goodness I needed to put my Kindle down so I could get a glass of ice water. ~ Rainbow Gold Reviews

I love it when an author takes an unlikeable character and molds them into something more. That is what Kostova did with Adam. The eternal bachelor with trust issues and a severe aversion to commitment finally figures out that sometimes, in life, it’s the chances you take that make all the difference.Like those hard fought and earned love stories? Then Mask is a must read! ~ MM Good Book Reviews

I really could not have seen a better fit of two people than Adam and Penn together...
It wasn't a smooth sailing type of relationship....Anything but...But this story allows you to see a beautiful love bloom between two individuals that needed something only the other could give...
A wonderfully written tale that had me falling in love with two stunning men that took my breath away. Their story is one of true love...true romance...
A definite must read!! ~ Tsk Tsk What to Read

I have been waiting for Mask ever since I put Dance down. Adam and Penn were exactly what I hoped for. This was a beautiful, heart breaking, very real story of getting over your past, allowing yourself to move on, and rediscovering love. This is as much a story of the characters finding themselves as it is about them finding each other. ~ Eyes on Books

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional yet Blistering Hot! 25 November 2015

Teodora continues this series and she does not disappoint. She brings Penn to Adam. What is interesting is Penn is Adam’s past lover’s twin. Can Adam get past the physical beauty to see the inner beauty of Penn? Adam is battling his own demons, depression. He is afraid that it will destroy him and his potential relationships. He holds back from Penn, even though Penn wants Adam. This is a beautiful story of true love. Penn helps Adam work through those demons like a true partner in life. Adam takes his time to fall in love with Penn, to know that Penn is Penn and not just Adam’s former lover’s twin. These two are completely sweet on each other and support each other. Penn is just the person who Adam is truly attracted to and when these two come together physically, OH MY!!!!! Sparks that could ignite a village come alive. Wow oh wow. While these two fall in love, we get to see the continuing story of Fenix and Jared from Dance. I truly enjoyed that Teodora continued their storyline and sprinkled them within Adam and Penn’s story.

Again, I am in love with this series, these men and Teodora’s storytelling. Although, it does not feel like a story as I feel like I am living within the men and living their lives. Definitely recommend this series

* I was given this audible book in exchange for an honest review *
This is the first audio book that I've ever listened to so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was delighted to find that listening to a book, especially one that Teodora wrote was a better experience than I thought it would be.
The details in the story are phenomenal, you would swear that you were backstage in the theatre with the cast and crew!
Having read the first book in the series, Dance, I was prepared to not like Adam at all. But right from the beginning, my heart went out to him when his heart gets broken by his rock star boyfriend.
Then throw in sweet and gentle Penn in the mix and watch the sparks and confusion fly when they meet and Adam discovers that Charlie, his ex has a twin he never mentioned! I love how Penn gives his all in everything that he does and I honest to goodness cried at times watching these two learn about themselves and each other and what it takes to really love.

3.0 out of 5 stars Liked it. 13 December 2014

Before I read Mask, I read book 1 in the series, Dance. And I loved it. It was different than majority of the M/M books I had read. I connected to Jared and Fenix. And after reading Dance, I was very much looking forward to reading Mask. But I was a bit disappointed.

I can’t pinpoint exactly why I didn’t love Mask. I can’t say I didn’t like it because I did. But I had issues connecting with Penn and Adam. Maybe because it was even more different than Mask was to what I’ve read in M/M before. Maybe because of the way it was written. I can’t figure out why I didn’t love it. At parts I forced myself to keep reading. At other parts I skimmed a bit. But then there were the parts that brought me in and kept me there. And I wish the entire book was that way.

All in all, it was a 3.5 star book for me. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it. Just kind of inbetween. And I hate that. But thats how it was for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional and beautiful 26 April 2015

Adam wants to be a forever bachelor... Penn just wants to matter. Fire and ice these 2 are. I have to admit I was skeptical of their relationship for quite some time. Of course if you read book 1 you understand why the second Penn meets Adam you find yourself going, "No way!" But, Teodora makes it work and she does it in perfect fashion. This was just as emotional as all the books in this series and it was also just as beautiful!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read 20 November 2014

***I received a copy of this review in exchange for an honest review***

What a refreshing follow up to the first installment of Teodora's West End series, Dance. I really loved Dance and the dynamics of Mask did not disappoint. Teodora manages to create a vivid picture of life in theatre with Mask. I was very impressed with the great details of the behind the scenes aspects. I fell completely head over heels for Adam and Penn and loved getting to revisit with Jared and Fenix from Dance.

Adam was not someone everyone just completely likes, much less loves. He is portrayed almost as "the jerk" in Dance and most readers just didn't like him. I was a little indifferent to him also. This is his story and I am so glad to have read it. He is heartbroken over his first true love. He can't seem to get over him and has taken lots of measures to protect his heart. He doesn't do relationships at all and never with anyone at work. He just doesn't commit and more than that he can't seem to fully trust anyone. That is until he discovers that not only did his first love break his heart but he never mentioned that he had a twin and now he is working at the theatre with him. Penn is so different and Adam can't seem to take notice. Penn is attracted to Adam but he needs to be seen and not compared in anyway to Charlie, his rock star twin. Penn has the biggest heart but he too also has to learn to trust.

Their relationship is passionate and so sexy hot. Both men just have walls that are tough to breakdown and watching them come down was exciting. I loved seeing Adam's fears and discovering just why he can't trust. He is most definitely hiding behind a mask and watching the layers unravel was beautiful. Penn finally, truly being seen for himself and who he is was masterfully written by Teodora. This was a heartwarming journey about learning to trust. I fell in love with both of these men. I hope Ms. Kostova continues with this series and that we get to see them in the future. If you haven't read this go get it. It is so worth your time.
