I liked this book and found it well-written. The characters were not all that likeable but they did grow on me. I do think the plot could have been solved in a much shorter book. Every detail doesn't need included in a book and sometimes this book has way too many details that did not matter. Chloe's love interest was so unlikable at the beginning of the book that I'm not sure he can ever redeem himself to me as a reader. Several general facts of the book didn't make sense like why Chloe wasn't living in her parents house since they had been gone for months instead of with her sister. Why did the cat act so weird? That was never answered. The bones of the book was good but the inside walls needs work.
This story about three sisters who just happen to be witches is a whodunit with a magical twist. I found the book to be engaging and the sisters were charming (pun intended). There were twists that kept me guessing who the culprit was right to the end, and was I surprised to find out who was behind it all!
You get a lot of book for your dollar when you but this book. It's a lot of fun. Chloe is a librarian who gets outed as a witch. When her sister is suspected of attempting murder in a rival and of putting a Sleeping Beauty curse on her lookalike, Chloe investigates when she thinks a bad coven has moved back into town and is behind the attacks.

I really enjoyed A Maryland Witch and getting to know Chloe and her sisters as they worked to solve the mysteries going on in Crabtree Bay. This was a really fun read and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
A good easy read. I enjoyed reading this, the characters are down to earth. I look forward to reading more of this series and seeing where the characters go.
