Marrying Mr. Wrong: A Hot Romantic Comedy (Dirty Martini Running Club Book 3) Kindle Edition
I'm almost positive the rest of it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't been dangling off a hotel balcony with my lady parts in the breeze. And of course the one person to witness my mortification had to be HIM. Camden Cox.
Sure, today he's gorgeous and wealthy, and fine, I can admit he has a great sense of humor. But once upon a time, he was the boy who loved to make my life miserable.
He no longer pulls my pigtails, but I know his type. He wants one thing, and one thing only. A chance to get in my pants.
Nope. Not happening. Not even with that sexy Southern drawl.
But I'm Sophie Abbott, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's making a mess.
Only this isn't just a mess. It's a disaster. A Sophie disaster.
Because after a wild night in Vegas, I wake up naked in his hotel room.
And I'm pretty sure we got married.
Author's note: An adorkable hot mess who throws a cocky charmer completely off his game. Plus a salty dad playing matchmaker, laugh-out-loud banter, a couch scene that will melt your Kindle, and the swooniest of swoony happy endings.
Marrying Mr. Wrong can be read as a stand alone.

My favourite character would have to be Sophie’s Dad. I loved his personality and he was hilarious in his determination to find Sophie a partner……my favourite quote from the Dad “ I’m just throwing f@&$in’ spaghetti at the wall Soph. One of these days, something’s gonna stick “ 😂😂😂
Right from the opening chapters, I was swept away with Kingsley’s writing! Sophie manages to get herself in a few comical moments that I couldn’t help but laugh. She certainly gets herself into some odd situations and embraces her own quirks!
I really liked Camden Cox and the way he tries to win Sophie over with his sweet gestures and charm. He sure remembers Sophie from many years ago and is not going to let another chance to get away! They happen to cross paths after the previous comical encounter and the chemistry continues to grow between them.
This was just what I needed, a fun, light-hearted read that I could laugh through! I enjoyed the chemistry between Sophie and Cox and how fun they were together. I am intrigued by Sophie’s sisters and may even read those books as well. For my first Kingsley read, I sure was left impressed!
This one was a lot of fun, though maybe less laugh out loud moments than the last two. Sophie is lovely, and I enjoyed Cox’s reaction to her.
I kind of felt like I wanted a “Hangover” scene, because it really sounded like their drunken night in Vegas was loads of fun. Only getting a few details had me super curious.
But Cox pursuing Sophie and coming to realise how wonderful she is, was a lot of fun. I definitely loved Sophie’s character. She was fun and loyal, and upbeat all the time, even when she kept falling down.
I will definitely be looking forward to continuing this series.
They both had their hang ups but relationships are always give and take anyway.
So glad some of the characters got what they had coming to them and Mel got to see his little girl happy.
All in all an awesome book..I’ve loved everything Claire has written so far & I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Poor Sophie! She was such an adorable hot mess with the biggest heart. If something was going to happen it was going to be to her, if there was a misunderstanding she was going to be involved, if anyone was going to wake up married in vegas it was going to be Sophie!
The minute we meet Cox he totally won me over! I loved the fact that these two have a history, although brief. After their chance encounter.......that Sophie would rather forget, Cox can't get Sophie off his mind.
This is the perfect rom com! I had a huge smile of my face while I was reading Sophie and Cox's story!
This series just keeps getting better and better and I loved catchy up with the rest of the Dirty Martini Running Club ladies, Shep and Colton along with Sophie's Dad, Cox's Mum and Oliver made me laugh so much!
I can not wait for Nora's story!
Marrying Mr. Wrong is the bouncy, bubbly and calamitous story of the bouncy, bubbly and calamitous, Sophie Abbott. There’s nothing you can’t love about this woman. She’s cute, curvy and adorably clumsy, and she brings a cheeky cheeriness to everyone around. (And her dad is hilarious!)
Similarly to Everly in the first two books, she’s a positive ray of sunshine that brightens up everyone’s lives. Working for Everly’s husband, Shepherd Calloway, Sophie is professional, smart and highly organised… but she’s also a walking disaster. The poise and eye for detail she manages to maintain whilst at work is sadly missing from her every day life where tripping over her own feet is a regular occurrence and if anything remotely disastrous or potentially embarrassing is going to, you can guarantee it’s going to happen to Sophie. But she takes it all in her stride which makes her even more endearing.
So it stands to reason that if anyone was going to mistakingly marry someone she hardly knew whilst on a drunken night in Vegas… it was going to be her. What no one could have foreseen is that the man who would become her surprise husband would be the grown up and gorgeous as heck version of the boy who teased her relentlessly as a child.
Camden Cox has grown up to be a big-shot property developer. Far from the poor, abused and troubled young boy who’d hurt Sophie’s feelings - he’d worked hard and made his mark in the world. Cox has everything. Looks, wealth, security… everything, except love. Resigning himself to be the eternal bachelor, he’d never considered ‘forever love’. Marriage wasn’t for him.
With his eagle-eyed lawyer, Althea McLellan (aka Maleficent) keeping his business interests in check and his personal assistant, Oliver, keeping his private life running smoothly, he was flourishing. A new project was going to be his crowning glory. But an embarrassing set back with his business partner jeopardises the project and he was looking for suitable investors. He sets his sights on Calloway. After bumping into his pretty (and precariously panti-less) assistant at a gala, he was even more determined to get his business.. and see more of the beautiful woman he’d encountered.
With Calloway being on a trip to Vegas, Cox has no choice but to fly out there to try to broker a deal. It goes well, but he can’t take his eyes of Sophie. He then remembers where he knows her from. The sweet girl he tormented as child had turned into the most stunning woman.
Vegas then works it’s magic and soon what was just going to be a night of fun and frolics ends up with them both naked in a hotel honeymoon suite, and…. Married!!
What ensues is a heartwarming story of how two people suddenly and very legally bound to each other develop their relationship from strangers to lovers. It takes a while because neither of them are quite sure how they feel about it all. On the one hand, they get along - very well in fact - but this was something neither of them expected.
Whilst Sophie had always wanted to get married and have the whole kids and white picket fence thing, it couldn’t have been further from Cox’s mind. But now it’s happened and they are husband and wife, what will they decide to do?
Cox’s business can’t take another PR scandal so they agree to stay married, at least until the project is underway. Inevitably, that means spending time together. And spending time together means the opportunity to develop feelings… real feelings. There’s so much attraction between these two that it’s palpable… but could something so surreal become real?
Of course it can… and of course it does. After a hesitant start, soon their passion and desire for each other gives way to a beautiful coupling. But what happens to their agreement? Will they divorce? Or, could their unexpected marriage be the best mistake they’d ever made?
There’s some awesome scenes in this story. There’s the stomach dropping moment his evil lawyer tries to separate the love birds and everything seems to be lost, but there is a guaranteed happily ever after for them - and the epilogues - wow, so poignantly beautiful.
Yet another Kingsley book that has had me absolutely gripped. She writes the most amazing page turners and I’m almost sad to say that I’ve nearly read her entire catalogue of wonderful books. Can’t wait for her to release more… including Noras story. That’s going to be an interesting one. Well done, Claire. You never fail to impress.
Absolutely recommended as are all of Claire Kingsley's books.
