Jack and Rose ❤️
This book was emotional and heartbreaking. It had you feeling all the feels and had me sitting at the edge of my seat of what’s going to happen.
In this book we see the strength of love and how powerful it can be and how it has the power to forgive and heal when secrets and lies are exposed.
Marriage for one was full of mystery and a twist that you didn’t see happen. The chemistry between Jack and Rose was intense, from something that started as a fake marriage turned into something neither of them saw coming, they started falling for one another.
So much passion, intimacy, and honest Raw emotions. You will fall in love with Jack, he is the silent, broody type of guy who frowns and doesn’t smile but Rose makes it her mission to get smiles out of him.
When secrets are exposed, will they be able to move past and forgive. Is their love strong enough?
As soon as this book ended, I was left wanting more of this couple. Their flirty banter, funny comments, the build up, anticipation, sexual tension and so much more.

When offered an opportunity Rose couldn’t refuse by a stranger in order to fulfill her dream about opening her own coffee shop, she finds herself suddenly married, with a large ring on her finger as part of a business deal. One second he was no one. The next he became everything. One second he was unattainable. The next he seemed to be completely mine. One second she thought they were in love. The next it was still nothing but a lie. A book about the strength of love and how even through deceit and hopelessness, it has an amazing power to heal.

This standalone romance novel is written in dual POV and held so many good aspects. While reading this book I was constantly in my emotions whether it be giggling, smiling, crying or swooning. The slow burn was done perfectly and ended with a love that warmed my soul and heart for the two characters. It was a very unique, captivating and emotional romance novel that started backwards yet ended rightly.

The plot being a marriage of convenience was done well along with the slow burning romance. The beginning may be slow moving and uneventful but I personally enjoyed getting to know the characters gradually since the story developed well over time. Being so utterly real and emotional, this book is unlike any romance novel I’ve previously read. There isn’t a way to read this book and not feel anything with what the contents holds.

This was an epic read, slow to start with but every detail counted, as is usual for an Ella Maise book. Loved the character and relationship development thoughout this book but my most favourite bit.... that last monologue by Jack, just wow - what I'd do to hear that IRL! It was amazing, and a fantastic ending to the book. Rose is my absolute idol right now, I loved her sass and how she just kept stepping up every time something (or someone) challenged her. A must read!

My favourite part of Jack and Rose's story is that they're together against everyone, until Jack's lies come out. Their dry banter is perfect, and he's so grumpy, but the journey to loving each other is sweet. 10/5 stars

I wasn't sure what to think of Jack initially in Marriage for One. He comes across as quite cold, with a rather stilted personality. I knew he was going to grow on me over the story though, as he reveals more glimpses of himself to Rose, allows her to see more of who he is. I was waiting for the reveal as to why he really went into the marriage, other than what we already knew he had proposed they each get out of the business deal.
Rose finds herself falling pretty quickly for Jack. She doesn't mind his grumpy self, enjoys his frowns and tries to make him smile. It's a real slow burn romance between these 2.
I do love a good slow burn romance, but at times this story just felt too slow. When I was reading it just felt ( to me ) like the story was really long, and I was just waiting for something more to happen. After the build up over the whole story of Jack and his reasons for the marriage, the big reveal/conflict was resolved super quick.

I loved loved loved this book! I have read a lot of books from different authors & for me there are only a few that I would say were born to write! Ella Maise is certainly one of them because this book for me was absolute perfection. It’s a slow burn story love that develops between a rich lawyer, Jack and a wanna be coffee shop owner, Rose. Straight off the bat the scene is set where Jack offers Rose a deal that she simply cannot refuse that will make her dream come true but the snag is that she has to marry him. This alone will grab your interest and keep you turning the pages because Jack & Rose don’t know each other!
As the story begins to unfold you get to see, feel and experience every step of the way how their feelings grow towards each other. Jack is a very no nonsense type of guy, he is broody, surly and always wears a frown on his face, never smiling. You can never tell what he’s thinking because he never shows his emotions. Rose on the other hand is the complete opposite, she’s very talkative and wears her emotions on her sleeve! They are opposites but she’s good for him & he’s someone she never knew she needed, let alone fall for.
You don’t find out until much later in the book what Jack’s motives are for asking her to marry him but until you get to that point you get to experience Rose opening up her beloved coffee shop (with Jack’s help) and all of her little quirks! And because this book is told from a dual point of view you also have the privilege of being in Jack’s head and feel all of his emotions when he slowly but surely falls in love with Rose. There is also a part in the book that captures Rose being claustrophobic, which is written so well that you (and Jack) just feel her pain and suffer right along with her!
This book had so much depth and was so beautifully written; it was witty in places, serious & sexy at the same time and you will absolutely fall in love with both characters.
I could not fault it, it was an outstanding piece of work.

WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!
I am a huge Ella Maise fan and this woman has just smashed it out the park once again.
In the beginning I wasn't sue if I was going to love this book but then as the story progressed and I got more involved, I just could not put it down. The entire way through the book there is this angsty quality that keeps you on the edge of your seat in anticipation.
Rose is smart as a whip with such a sassy personality and yet she doesn't see what's coming at all. Jack is this broody, alpha male who you want to kiss and strangle all at the same time. The story progresses quickly but there is so much going on that you need it in order to get it all in.
I enjoyed this book is much that once I got through the first chapter I could not put this book down. I devoured it and not I cannot wait to read it again. There were all the feels in this book and I needed a fair amount of ice cream to help sooth my soul.
I look forward to what Ella has in store for us next.

Omg where to start!?!
Okay so I don't usually read books like this. In all honesty it was in my recommendeds and I read a review and decided to give it ago.
I'm so HAPPY that I did. This book is amazing. It's a slow burn, you get to read from both points of view. Rose and Jack will have you laughing, crying and your heart fluttering (mine did anyway) Will definitely be reading more from this author. It was well written and she seemed to know exactly what to put to make it flow.

I felt the dialogue in this book was a bit stilted and old fashioned. I couldn't get into the book and upon further reflection find the whole set up a bit weird. I can usually suspend my disbelief for these types of books but this one pushed me to my limit!
