This novel was fun, light romantic reading. The development of the characters, the forbidden aspect of their relationship all brought about a relatively believable romance that we would expect in buying it. I rated it 3 stars then thought I'm not rating an epic; it deserves 4stars for it's genre.

Sports romance, marriage of convenience, slow burn, the main character Logan being guardian to his 4 younger sisters.........I was sold on reading this book as soon as I realised it was a marriage of convenience, but the other details meant I dived right in and read it in one sitting.
Karla Sorensen is a new to me author, whose other books I will be reading very shortly. I loved The Marriage Effect, even though it is #3 in the Washington Wolves series, it was easily read as a standalone. BUT I am going back to the start now to read the other 2.
Logan was an awesome character. He manages to fly under the media/social media radar, living a quiet life doing the best he can looking after his sisters. Paige is a gorgeous, retired supermodel who is just a tad impulsive with her decision making! These 2 had major chemistry, and I loved the slow burn between them, just waiting for that moment where they gave in to their feelings. AND the sisters - they were hilarious, especially the trouble making twins. LOL - what a handful they were.

It was a good read. Unfortunately the ending was too much annoying drama followed by too much cheese for me.
**spoiler**
I also didn’t like that the heroine slapped the hero in front of the kids in the end. He was being nasty, sure. But the physical violence didn’t feel good.
Also, how come she was the only one who had to make amends after their huge fight? He was a dick to her and she packed a bag and took off for a few hours. So he and the kids felt abandoned, when they have abandonment issues. So fine, she needed to make up for that. But the fact that she made all these big gestures and asked for forgiveness and all he had to do was say ‘sorry’ and she’s ‘all good, we both said things we shouldn’t have’ was annoying.
Also, if I’m being picky, she was the main pursuer in their relationship. He kept trying to avoid her and not sleep with her and she kept chasing him. Cool that she’s a go getter and knows what she wants and all, but I prefer it to be equal or the hero doing most of the chasing.

Slow burning, sassy and full of sexual tension - this story takes you along their journey from a random mutual agreement to a love that has you smiling and rooting for a happy ending. I loved the family Dynamics and the tension between Paige and Logan. As they discover the ins and outs of raising 4 teen girls, it pushes all their buttons and pushes them to work together or be driven apart. While it is a sports romance, it doesnt override the plot. I enjoyed their story, its beautiful and believable, I highly recommend.

Really well written and enjoyable book. I was engaged from beginning to end as we finally get to read the love story of Paige (Ally’s bestie from book 1) and Logan (Ava’s fake boyfriend in book 2). These were two characters I loved from the previous books so it was great to read their story. Of course it was a bumpy and funny road to their happy ending but how could it not be with fiesty Paige and grumpy Logan not to mention the four sisters he was Guardian for. Loved the youngest twins and their crazy pranks. Can’t wait to read what happens with the four Ward girls in the future.

I have been eagerly awaiting this book since I finished the first in the series. This book brings forth such a different family dynamic and shows that family isn’t always blood. Would have loved to have read a little more about Paige’s family but I definitely didn’t need to, to thoroughly enjoy this book!

Not being a huge sports fan, I had my doubts about this book, but as it was a marriage of convenience theme, I thought I would give it a shot.
So glad I did, was really well written, with characters that really drew me in and got me invested in their story
Well worth the read

Another brilliant story by Karla I'm really loving this professional footballer's life struggles with a new marriage and secret desires. Logan is being challenged by his brother for custody of their siblings and the only way to stop this from happening is to get himself a wife luckily Paige so happens to be one step ahead when trying to get in to see Logan at the hospital. The chemistry is sizzling and Sparky and Paige starts to develop feelings for Logan and the girls from the get go, realising that she's been missing something and the Ward FMily just might it. But only when she's been put through the wringer by a guarded yound girl, practical jokes, missing teenagers and an @sshole of a brother in law. Paige has her work cut out for her but she more than up to the challenge. This was a really lovely read I very much enjoyed it and will be reading more by this author.

Another amazing addition to this series, absolutely loved this one.
This book combines my favorite tropes fake marriage and sports romance so it was an absolute pleasure to read. It was well written and the story kept me reading well into the night. It was cute, emotional and sometimes frustrating (in a good way).
The overall pace of the book was good and it’s a relatively slow burn but the chemistry between Logan and Paige was off the charts.
I loved every second of it and I’m looking forward to the next in the series! :)

My favourite of the series!

I've really enjoyed all 3 books but this one was definitely my favourite.. I smiled so much while reading it was unreal and I can admit to even getting a little lump in my throat while reading a certain bit too!
This time we get the crazy story of quiet Logan when we find out what he's really been hiding and why he is how he is and he kind of meets his match when Paige all but lands in his lap one day unexpectedly.
Love these pair together.. the chemistry was off the charts but love how they danced around each other for so long.
Storyline was what you expected to happen but with so much more thrown in along the way.
Fantastic read!
Can't wait to read the next series that leads on from this too!

I enjoyed all the books in this series. Thye are simple, sweet, sometimes with a tad of drama and they deliver just what they promise. This particular one was good as well. I think the couple had chemistry and the plot kept me entertained.
