Product Description

‘So, they want me to write a book? They want to know about my band, my life, my loves and my losses. But they have no idea what they’re asking for. If I give them what they want, they’ll get so much more than the sex and drugs and the rock and roll they’re expecting. They’ll get the secrets that I’ve kept for so long, they’ll get an insight into the person I really am, or at least was. They think they know my story, they know nothing.
If I do this, if I write honestly and give them the ugly truth, people will get hurt. People that I love, people that have already suffered in the worst possible ways.
Do I do this, or do I walk away? Taking my secrets to the grave.’
Marley is an adult contemporary romance. It contains content suitable only for grownups with an open mind. There are scenes of group sex which include m/f/m a little bit of f/m/m and even some f/f/f/m/m/f/f/f. There is drinking and drug taking involved. A lot of swearing, some Essex slang and some very high emotion. Please don’t complain after reading this book that you wasn’t warned.
And yes, of course you’ll need tissues.

Marley is a companion book to the First book in the series, Carnage. Carnage was aptly named as it was Carnage on my heart, and although I knew what to expect with Marley, I have still needed to wait a few days before posting this review as emotions are delicate things.

Marley tells the story of Carnage from his point of view, as well as reveling the story of Marley and Ashley. This book is a must read for Carnage fans.
I know that some people will say that these books are just make believe stories, but the way they are written and the story that is told by Lesley Jones is one that will never be blurred with other novels that I read. It is hard to write a review without spoilers, but please DON'T be put off reading this series because you are worried about doom and gloom. I can't reiterate enough that this book is so much more than a "tear jerker" or "ugly cry" series.

Lesley Jones is a gifted storyteller and I look forward to following her journey as an author.

5 Star Review

A Carnage Novel
Lesley Jones

Get ready to collect the peaces of your heart after reading Marley. The carnage that he leaves behind will mark you forever.

Marley had the chance to tell his side of the story that has the potential to destroy Maca's memory and his beloved sister George will be heartbroken to beyond repair.

Marley has been carrying so much pain and guilt for so long but is he ready to shine all those secrets to the world and hurt the people he most love?

As always didn't expected anything less from this story. Knowing is a novel from the Carnage series you know tears, sex, drugs and rock a roll will be present. We expect to have one unbelievable experience just like Carnage 1 & 2 and as always it delivered every single expectation.

You don't want to miss this amazing and incredible series I guarantee it. We recommend for you to read Carnage Book 1 & 2 prior to Marley.

***As always be aware there are adult situations with sex, drugs and foul language please we advice this book to be read by 18 years or older. Readers Discretion Advised.

Gifted by author in exchange for an honest review.

WOW what can I say, this is the hardest review I have ever had to write. The emotion and feelings run so deep and to put this book into a review is almost impossible to do it justice.
Can I just say that Carnage books 1 and 2 MUST be read before this book.
This is is the story of the four missing years told from Marley Layton's point of view. The sex, the drugs, the music, the heartache and what exactly happened in that hotel room in Paris between himself Sean and Whorley. The Sean and Georgia years told from his point of view and what Sean was going through when he and Georgia were separated.
Be warned, this book WILL blow your mind, rip your heart out, stomp all over it and then maybe put some of it back together again. I absolutely loved seeing the vulnerable side of Marley and Sean, their emotions and their feelings pour out, and Marley has captured it all in a tell all book he has written, but as yet not decided if he wants to publish, as he knows some of the contents of the book will cause lots of hurt feelings for Georgia and his family. You see a different side to Marley than in Carnage 1 and 2, the softer side, the funnier Marley, the loving Marley. The interactions between himself and Ashley are priceless and some of the one liners are hilarious and soo soo touching. You just want to put you arms around him and give him a big hug.
I didn't think it was possible to love Sean and Marley more than I already did, but I was so very wrong.
I have loved Lesley Jones since the first time I read the Carnage story. She is a fantastic writer and I am in total awe of her and even more so after this awesome story. If I could give this book 100 stars it would not be enough.
Lesley thank you for giving the world this beautiful, heartbreaking and wonderful story and I love ya guts lady.
A must read not to be missed !!!!!!!!!!!

I always knew reading Marley was going to be an emotional roller-coaster. Let’s face it, anybody reading this would certainly have read Carnage books one and two. And we all know what happened in them.

This tells the story from Marley Layton’s point of view. Where the rock band Carnage began, what happened in the four years his sister, Georgia, and band mate and childhood friend, Sean McCarthy, were apart. Marley is torn about whether to write a book about his life as a rock and roll star and all that entailed in that lifestyle. He is torn because of all the guilt, the secrets opening up old wounds. Ashley, Marley’s wife, wants him to open up share what will be in the book; however, he is reluctant and unsure as to whether his wife and kids should know all the things that he did back then.

Quote: Ash ~ “Talk to me, Marls. Please, don’t shut me out.”
Marley ~ “It hurts, Ash. It still ******* hurts so much.”

We step back in time as Marley tells us how it all started on the first Carnage tour when he found himself and Maca in a predicament in Paris 1985. Two young lads of eighteen in a band, the girls, drugs and alcohol on offer is a recipe for disaster. Only Maca is supposed to be in love with Marley's little sixteen year old sister, Georgia. Marley gets it in his drug fuelled mind with the help of others that if they were to marry, the band may no longer continue. So he does a selfish act that he will forever feel guilty about.

Len Layton, Marley's elder brother and manager, despairs of Marley and Maca's behaviour through the band's glory years. The boys constant drug taking, drinking and sleeping with anything that moves in a skirt and in fact, not averse to sharing their women.
