Rex Dravon, a notorious smuggler, is one of the Outcasts’ most important allies. Cosmic sparks and thrilling excitement launch this sci-fi romance out into the galaxy and pull readers right along for the journey. Thea and Rex are bold, convincing characters that captivates readers from the very beginning, Rex with his sexy bad boy image but underneath he has a most appealing side while Thea is feisty and determined with a daring side that also holds an appealing side. The romance for this couple starts off with sparks, mistrust and a sizzling undercurrent that readers can practically feel while Rex tries to woo Thea despite her mistrust and her determination to make her way back to Earth.

The plot has a fast pace and flows smoothly throughout the universe as Rex and Thea travel through space on a supply run that has them running into a bit of trouble which adds some thrilling suspense to the story along with the trouble that the Outcast colony is facing at home with some mysterious elves and armored battle cats. The story is fascinating, exciting and has some wonderfully diverse elements that makes for an interesting read and the relationship has lots of heated passion and stirring love scenes and I couldn’t help but be intrigued and captivated by it, so I am looking forward to visiting the Outcasts again.

Always wondered about Rex Dravon. Now I know!!! Quite a character . Funny, charismatic, and really sexy too. Hope Xoran's story is just as good. Fab series,Cyndi,as they all are.

Writing is excellent but the plot leaves a lot to be desired. The outcasts capture 3000 human females to breed and seem to give them some choice which would lend itself to a good alien romance. The problem I have with this story is the internal dialogue shows the aliens to not really care about the females they captured. Since these alien males are products themselves of aliens who forced themselves on a race of females to regain access to lost magic powers, I thought maybe they would really want to love one of their females but seems they just want to breed, So that’s where this storyline falls apart for me. The true wanting of a partner to love and care for and respect...just missing. So even though this story is about the pilot who supplies the outcasts, and his attempts to make Thea his mate, I still couldn’t get into this story. Thea lost her two children and husband only 3 months earlier but now she’s all over this “almost” outcast. He seems very caring but the inconsistencies of it all just made me give up reading.

I like this new series. The men kidnapping 3000 women didn't sound like a great way to start off relationships, but I love the way Rex won over Thea. I love the happily ever after as the story for this couple finishes while the ongoing plot through the series keeps me wanting more. I'm excited to see how the other women like being on a different planet with the attention of all these men. Love it!

I loved the story. We learned more about Rex and Thea. We watched Thea begin to process her grief. But suddenly it ended! I was hoping to see the end of their issues but we did not. I loved the conflict with the Sarronti. I like the battle cats.
