Product Description

Miranda Lowe knows she isn’t the kind of woman men want to marry, but when she loses her family, her home and her job on the same day, she sees no other choice but to offer herself as a mail-order bride to a widower in Sapphire Springs, Texas.

John Weaver needs a mother for his five-year-old twin daughters. He has no intention of falling in love again, and as long as the woman who agrees to marry him understands that, they can have a good life together.

So why is John suddenly thinking about changing the rules? And why is Miranda willing to do whatever it takes to become the kind of woman John could love?

Can John and Miranda find a way to come together and build a real family?

5.0 out of 5 stars Can a girl who has no self esteem make a change in her life by becoming a mail order bride? 3 February 2017

Miranda has been told she is not good enough all her life. When she is fired from her maid's job, she goes to Elizabeth Miller in Beckham, Massachusetts, and applies to be a mail order bride. Not expecting to find a man who will find her attractive, she tells him that she is plain and fat. John has lost his wife and has twin 5 year old daughters to raise plus running his diner in town. His Aunt has taken over the care of his girls, but they are very unhappy since she is so strict and full of censure. Miranda arrives, and John is astounded at her beauty, but has promised his dead wife to never love another woman, so he keeps Miranda at arms length. Aunt Ruth is as critical of Miranda as her mother and her boss has been, and makes her life unpleasant. Finally things come to a head, and Miranda and John have a frank conversation that helps lead them to a happier place in their lives. This was such a good story that I hated for it to end.

I loved everything about this book. Even the ending. Many books disappoint me with the endings but this one was just perfect. It was very satisfying and believable. It didn't appear rushed. Great job!!!
