The temperature range of 40 - 200C only applies to the Saute function. Most functions have no temperature control.
However this range provides for very good saute control and is wider than most other similar appliances.
There is no pressure control as commonly found on other similar appliances.
Replacing the lid (in slow cooker mode for example after checking the contents) can be very difficult as the steam coming from the food in the bowl triggers the pressure lock mechanism in the lid making it impossible to replace the lid.
It is noted in the manual that the lid seal to the inner bowl can cause the inner bowl to lift up when the lid is removed. I found this to be a significant safety hazard when the bowl contains mostly liquid as in soup mode. The bowl can stay attached to the lid and then suddenly drop back down causing the hot contents to slop around.
I have used all functions except sous vide and canning and they work satisfactorily as described in the manual although I could not determine how to control whether the slow cook function was in Hi or Lo mode and when to add Pasta is explained differently in the provided manual and the online version.
This product is considerably cheaper than others on the market and I think this is reflected in the lack of control and usability. Apart from my note as to safety I believe it functions satisfactorily at its price point.
It is quite big, which is good for making meals of different sizes, and the required cupboard space hasn't been an issue so far since it hasn't made it far off the kitchen bench.
It has also replaced my old slow cooker, and the saute function is very useful for keeping dishes to a minimum.
