I've had this trimmer for several months and have only used it maybe 7 or 8 times, Right from the start, I was not impressed. It seems to pull on the hair more than cutting. No matter how many times I passed over a path of hair or how careful I was, it did not trim much. Now, it seems it stopped cutting hair at all, It powers on and I can pass the trimming head over my back, but it is not really cutting. I wonder of it is defective blades???
Much better than the earlier version / Silver handle one I had for many years. That thing used to hurt and leave scratches. It finally died. Instead of looking for a head replacement I decided to just purchase a new / upgraded one. This one feels so much better against the skin. Although... it doesn't seem as powerful as earlier version. It could be because that one ran on 2 AA batteries. This one idk... you have to plug in to charge it. I think I had it on full charge and could still feel the difference. Anyway.. TMI... but I also used it to groom my beard and shave my head and it all did the job.
I bought this several years ago and used it for a couple years. It finally quit and I thought not bad. So I ordered another one. This one didn’t work right out of the box. I don’t know what they did to it. Because it looks the same but it’s useless now. Won’t cut any hair.
This product is easy to use, light weight and effective. I don't have an exceptional amount of hair on my back. But enough, that it bothers me. This product makes it so I can access the center of back quite easily. It holds it's charge for a long time...weeks. It's rechargeable.
I've been using this shaver for over a year now. Works like a charm and has become part of my grooming routine. If you start to feel the machine pulling on your hair or it isn't cutting properly you likely need to oil the blade. This is standard for electric blades. Maintain and clean it and it'll treat you right. Als,o Mangroomer's customer service is some of the best I've ever interacted with.
Cutting capability is pretty minimal. Shape, adjustable length, and design is good but the actual blades are so so weak. If you press with a normal amount of pressure it doesn't cut your hair. You really have to push it down super hard and seems to only cut hair going in one direction. Even then it doesn't get very close. Used to have my roommates do it for me (shoutout) but I live in my own place now so had to come up with other solutions. Only $20 so I won't send it back but not super pleased.
The first one I ordered worked great for two weeks and then the on/off switch went bad. Got a replacement and that one never worked. Wouldn't charge or turn on. Got another replacement (3rd one). So far it has worked but my expectations are low that it will still be working in 6 months.
