Fit was good I normally wear this to Kirkwood which is a ski resort and the material is good and keeps you warm The only gripe is the pocket size. I put my wallet in my right pocket ( my wallet is a medium to large size) and it's SNUG when placed inside the pocket to zip it up sometimes is a little difficult because of the wallet . It will eventually zip up with a little fiddling but it does zip up My left pocket is for my Samsung S8 phone which zips up with no problems. That's the ONLY gripe and other than that it's a great pair of pants. I recently bought another pair.
I bought these pants for snowboarding and was skeptical since the price seemed too good to be true. So the bad part is that the leg is just way too narrow to fit over a snowboard boot. It might work for a ski boot but it would be tight fit.
I was disappointed because they seem very nice. Waterproof, double layered and stretchy/comfortable. If they had a zipper or a wider leg to fit over my boots I would have been thrilled. For hiking or general snow use, I'm sure these would be great.
I have purchased several of these kinds of pants over the years and they are the only pants I wear outside of work in the fall and winter. Because they are made in China, finding the correct size is extremely difficult and may require ordering and sending back as many as three times before finding the correct size. While most say waterproof, I will agree that they are water resistant. They are super soft, warm, and very comfortable.
I just opened mine. I wear a 38 in jeans but I bought these in a 40 (tag says 6x). The last pair I bought from this brand were 38 and fit a bit too perfectly. I like my pants to have space, especially since I run hot and these are warm. Nice fit, professional looking but still some space, stitching gives them a rugged, militant look. I turned on my faucet, ran water over a small area for 30 seconds and watched the water roll right off! No water was absorbed. I can't wait for heavy rain!
Got these for my husband for fishing. I was told to be sure to get 5 pockets- when on a boat it is nice to secure wallet, phone, keys and have a few open for fishing. The title reads 5 pockets. On this style it reads solid pants come with 5 pockets and block print comes with 4 pockets. I purchase solid black- it has only 4 pockets! My husband is a size 36 - some reviews complained of them being snug so I bought the 38- they fit comfortably- they need to fix the description-it should not read 5'pocketsmif not all come with 5 pockets!
The pants are made for righthanded people. I'm left handed. Easy enough to put a back pocket on the left side but there's not one. I'm used to a right-handed world and the right-handed zipper and fastener. However, when you have the option to design the item for either hand and then choose to design it for only righter handers, I won't buy it.
Also, the main pocket zippers are a bit small and hard to get your hands in; there are no ankle zippers like I've seen on other pants; the waist fastener is a weird clip rather than a common snap or button; it comes with no belt like I've seen for other pants; they don't breathe and I had some swampage after wearing for a couple hours; and the useless seams across the thighs can collect debris and is just kind of dumb.
I'm 6'2", 235lbs and wear a 36" waist. I bought a size 5x and they fit perfectly with the ability to snug them up. Since winter will be over sooner than later. I wanted something light weight to keep the wind from penetrating and to keep me dry in extreme cold when I was mountain biking this winter for a budget price. I haven't tried them out for a ride because I'm returning them, but I doubt that these will do the trick for very cold weather regarding the wind resistance. The additional piece of fleece on the the thigh doesn't canvass much area and isn't all that thick. 30° and up maybe their what your looking for,,, but the real issue I have is that I ran the thigh and knee area under water for about a minute and the water penetrated through the seams and the inside was starting to get pretty wet. So I think if you're in dry snow or if you're hitting puddles but not in a steady rain would you stay dry.
Very warm pants. With a heavy base layer, I'm walking the dogs in -15 with these pants on. They are not windproof so adding a layer to address that if needed is advisable. I really like these and am going to get another pair. I am 6'1" 205lb and have a 35" inseam and 35-36" waist. The 3XL fit me perfect. Of course, if they were made in the USA, this would be equivalent to an XL.
