-The ¼” end of the line is not really ¼” by any standard and will only work with LUXE bidets.
-Luxe bidets will only work with this line and it’s other length variants from LUXE.
-The 3/8” end will however work with a standard under sink tee connector with 3/8” compression fitting.
-3/8” compression > ¼” LBS (LUXE Bidet Standard) > ¼” NPT > ¼” compression (ice maker line)
-WARNING: The first 3 are very close in size and can be easily confused (Q.E.D. by the other reviews)
It would appear from the other reviews that there is some confusion as to the sizing convention used for the specifications of the fittings on LUXE products. This is understandable considering that LUXE uses a unique sizing standard that will be referred to here on out as LBS, FLBS, MLBS (Male/Female LUXE Bidet Standard), not the same as IBS, but similar effect. As pointed out by another reviewer, it may be some metric standard fraudulently identified as ¼” nominal by LUXE. At first glance, both fittings on this line appear to be 3/8” compression fittings. However, if you squint and look very closely or measure with a pair of calipers, you will see that one end is 3/8” compression and the other is about 1mm smaller inside. This smaller end is 1/4” FLBS, which is 3 goat hairs larger than 1/4” NPT. This is why a 1/4” FLBS fitting will connect to a 1/4” MPT fitting but a ¼” FPT fitting will not work with the ¼” MLBS fitting on the LUXE bidet. It is my theory that LUXE has intentionally done this to lock customers into buying hardware and accessories from them at a high markup.
