Check that the air holes at the top of your cup are open. Wash your hands. Wash your Lunette with Feel better Cup Cleanser and rinse it carefully. You can insert the cup while sitting, standing or squatting. Spreading your legs will help with a successful and comfortable insertion. Relax. Fold the cup in on itself to make flat, then in half to form a C shape. Keep it rolled up and guide it rim first into the vagina. To check that the cup has fully opened, slide a clean finger up to the cup bottom and feel it - it should be round. Lunette can be used any time in your menstrual cycle, from heavy to light flow days. Lunette is emptied about 2–4 times a day, can be used for up to 12 hours, also overnight. The measuring lines on the cup help monitor your flow and easily learn your rhythm.

Die kleinere ist wesentlich einfacher zu handhaben. Sie ist weicher und vom Fassungsvermögen her vollkommen ausreichend.
Einsteigern würde ich auf alle Fälle empfehlen mit der kleinen Tasse zu beginnen.
For the long story please continue...
When I first heard about menstrual cups I found the idea of them quite disgusting and painful, and that was it really for a long time.
It was only after a good few years that I become conscious of how much of an impact on the environment I must be have. I started changing my lifestyle with things like no longer using aerosols, switching to milk alternatives and only eating meat once a week, which was a great start, but I wanted to do more.
It was then while having a particularly heavy period, thinking how much waste I was producing from just a week alone of bleeding, that I had a sort of eureka moment. I suddenly remembered hearing about menstural cups and decided it would be a good idea to atleast look into them and educate myself on them to see if they would be a good alternative to tampons and pads.
I don’t think I’ve voluntarily done so much research on anything in my life.
Precious Star Pads’ YouTube channel was my main source of information, I firmly believe she’s the reason I instantly got the hang of the cup, so based off of her and a couple other sources I settled on the Lunette Cup.
I originally believed I was just making the switch for the sake of the environment and not for any sort of ease but honestly I have a newfound quality of life while on my periods.
The environmental factors are just a bonus.
No more leaking tampons, having to change them 5 times a day.
No more uncomfortable pads at night.
And no more chemicals either!
Since changing to the cup I have very few cramps and my periods are more predictable, I totally believe that’s down to a lack of perfumes and bleach that is found in more conventional period products.
So all round it’s amazing, there’s no reason not to make the switch.
I curse myself for initially thinking they were disgusting and not seeing the light sooner.
Firstly the cup is very comfortable and I cant feel it, secondly, I can go through my day without the stress of having to remember when I put a tampon in and finally from searching around on amazon I have found it is a great price and I think will save me money as well as saving the environment.
I will say that if you have heavy flows at the start of your period I would recommend wearing a pad and emptying the cup more regularly. Also, I have recommended buying cup wipes for when you're out and don't have a sink and also a cup cleaner that you can just clean with boiling water.
Overall, I would definitely recommend every person that gets periods to try out a menstrual cup as they have been a lifesaver for me.
Tips: ask your doctor about using this if you have an IUD. I'm not going to give any medical advice, but you should talk to your doctor if you have any worries about using this.
I do the punch down or shell fold, and that works for me, but I am still experimenting.
The clear cup does stain a bit orange/red.
Sometimes the cup irritates my external genitalia or presses on my bladder - repositioning until it feels right works wonders.
Sometimes I can't feel the stem right after I wake up in the morning (yes I wear it overnight - with no trouble personally), but being upright for a few minutes helps - or jumping in the shower to dig around up there.
