FLAWED
I left.
I followed my dream—
To write, to feel, to live.
But my life has no meaning without Loïc.
I’m fading.
I'm not whole, not me,
Without him.
Loving Loïc is how I breathe.

FLAWED
She's gone.
I'm a hollow waste of space.
I can't feel, can't breathe, can't fight
Without London.
She's who I am—
What I am supposed to be.
Loving London
Is how I live.

***Book 3 in a 3 book series. Make sure to read Finding London and Keeping London first. ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Fighting Stars! 28 September 2016

What I love most about Ellie's stories is that they are always full of surprises and twists. But, their is something truly remarkable in how this woman can string words together and give them a heartbeat. The character arc in regards to London was phenomenal. I couldn't stand her in the first book and I fell madly in love with Loic. By the second book London began to grow on me, and in this book I was rooting for this girl so damn hard I became her own personal cheerleader. Her journey aside from her relationship with Loic was by far one of my favorite things about this series. Loic had me wanting to kick him in the balls, but he made up for it in the end. And that ending...holy hell.
It was good. So freaking good.
Their road to happiness isn't easy, and every time you think you got it figured out the rug gets pulled out again and you're left gritting your teeth or pulling your hair out. But, you can't help turning that page. Speaking of Paige, that girl always manages to put a smile on my face or knock me on my rear with one of her crazy lines. Her and London will have you in fits of laughter.
Seriously, though Ellie really does paint a vivid picture of the military and what it's like over seas. She holds nothing back and what you see is real life bleeding through the pages. She captures the fragility and the heartache in their struggles, and within military itself with such respect and humility. Their journey as a couple was a huge feat. My god, even the air held its breath when these two shared the same space. Honestly, this woman has a remarkable talent for show and tell. She finds that balance beautifully and some of those scenes will leave you flat-out breathless. I dare you to find out how two flawed hearts can find a perfect rhythm in a world that is set on tearing them apart. These characters and their fight for happiness will inspire you. They will change you. Be prepared to fight for every breath.
4.0 out of 5 stars Loved the couple but a little disconnected..... 3 October 2016

This book finishes off the love story of Loic and London. I spent 50% of the book in tears having my heart ripped apart by the very real issues that these two were going through. Post-deployment family issues are very real issues that many military members and their families have to deal with. I think Ellie Wade has beautifully tied in Loic and London's story with real life issues. Even though I was emotional for the first part of the book I did find myself a little withdrawn and rushed through the second half. London did not come off as strong as she had in the two previous books. I lost some of Loic because it felt like everything was focused on London. Overall, I still really loved the story and felt the emotion of the characters; however, I felt a little disconnected by the end, sadly.
4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful conclusion to this stunning trilogy 6 October 2016

Loving London (Flawed Hearts #3) by Ellie Wade
4.5 stars!!!

“I think the people we love most in this world are the ones who have the capacity to cause us the most pain.”

London and Loic have certainly given us a run for our money over the course of this trilogy, from the stunning covers to the beautiful story contained within. While the first two books were a true angst fest in true Ellie Wade style, Loving London had a very different vibe. After the ending of Keeping London I knew that Loving London was going to be an emotional read and it does cover a varied range of subjects including and not limited to PTSD. This is a common battle amongst service men and while I have seen it covered in many books I truly felt that Ellie Wade captured its emotional and mental repercussions perfectly even though the subject wasn’t tackled in depth.

This was a beautiful and poignant conclusion to London and Loic’s journey and all questions that remained from the first two books were answered and explained, by the end I was fulfilled, I have been taken on one heck of journey with these two and their story definitely came full circle.

“I don’t want to be with anyone else until I can give him my whole heart, and right now, it belongs to someone else.”

Loic and London are testament to that age old saying that opposites attract, these two came from opposite ends of the spectrum and yet their love for one and other was tangible from the very start. These two complemented each other beautifully and really brought out the best in one and other. In the first book London was extremely dislikeable, yet it was Loic that tampered the spoiled little rich girl mentality she had going on and encouraged her metamorphosis to a really well rounded, grounded, lovable woman. It is this side of her that was extremely welcomed and London’s own personal journey was a joy to witness.

“IF WE DIDN’T HAVE FLAWS, WE’D ALL BE THE SAME. OUR IMPERFECTIONS ARE WHAT MAKE US WHO WE ARE. WITHOUT ANY FLAWS, YOUR BASKET WOULD BE EMPTY.”

Loic really goes through the mill in this book and he has a lot of internal battles and demons to fight, ones that he is adamant he has to fight alone for the majority of this book. This was tough to read and my heart broke for him on so many occasions. My connection to Loic has always been solid, his childhood and his abandonment issues had always resonated deep within my heart and to see him have to go through it all again was extremely upsetting, especially when he was without his soul mate. Mental illnesses are hard to realistically portray but I went through this journey with him, I felt his pain and I was championing him along from the very start.

“Loïc, don’t ever be ashamed of your scars… Your scars are proof of the battles you’ve fought and survived. You could have checked out completely, but you didn’t. You fought to come back. You fought to live. You fought when your heart felt it had nothing to fight for. You are strong. You are brave. You are a warrior. And don’t you ever forget it.”

This series has taken me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, something that Ellie Wade never fails to deliver. Her incredible ability to tug at every single heart string was prevalent throughout and was particularly felt in this book. These two do finally realise that they cannot live without each other no matter their flaws. It is the fact that these two are not perfect that makes their story that much more realistic. No-one is perfect, flaws can be lovable in their own right, embrace them, work on them, you are who you are and should be loved for that reason alone. This was a beautiful love story from start to finish, it was realistic, it was heart-felt and I adored it. Another fantastic series from Ellie Wade.

“There’s nothing better than two whole and happy people being together, creating an epic love story. It’s one of life’s greatest gifts.”
