Product Description

Forgive me, father, for I have sinned . . .

Dante De La Fuente, the oldest of his siblings, is a man of the cloth—bound by honor and sacred vows to serve the church. But untold truths and misconceptions are what led him down his religious path. After the death of his mother, his trust in his father was quickly shattered. Decades later, Dante finds himself in turmoil, questioning his faith, and possibly his sanity.

And lead us not into temptation . . .

Emelia, and her twin brother, Diego, are the youngest of the De La Fuente siblings. For years, Emelia’s been carrying the burden of knowing the truth surrounding her and Diego’s birth. Exposing the long held secret could break their family apart; keeping it to herself could destroy her and Dante both. She holds the key to setting Dante free of his torment…and getting what her heart desires most.

…and the truth will set you free

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lexi Buchanan brings you book 2 in the De La Fuente series. A contemporary romance filled with forbidden desire and desperate need.

The Series

The De La Fuente home is outside of Great Falls, Montana, and the new series features each of the De La Fuente siblings: Dante, Eric, Aiden, Mateo, Kasey, and fraternal twins, Diego and Emelia.

#1 Love in Montana (Eric)
#2 Love in Purgatory (Dante)
#3 Love in Bloom (Mateo)

4.0 out of 5 stars A unique story 5 February 2017

This might be the second book in the series, but it's the first one I read, simply because of the very intriguing premise. Well, although it's said that it's a standalone, I really think that reading this series in order would give a much much better experience. The beginning of the story happened in previous book, I think. I feel like I'm in the middle of the story from the beginning of the book. Not hard to follow though.
The struggles felt by the main characters were felt by us the readers. Through some of the angst, I thought the problem could be solved with good communication, and I really wanted to smack one, or two, of them. Haha.
Anyway, overall, this is a very enjoyable book, and I definitely will follow this series, started with the first book this time :)

3.0 out of 5 stars It was okay 3 March 2016

For me this book was just okay. The plot was so implausible that it was hard to get into. I totally got the priest/sibling conflict, but what made no sense to me was the heroine not speaking up and fighting for man she loves over that 8-10 year period. That aspect of it just didn't fit in with the heroine's character or personality.
5.0 out of 5 stars Secret Love - Must Read 11 March 2016

This is Dante's Story, he is the priest of the family. You get to meet him a few times in the McKenzie series & also in Love in Montana. This book takes you through his secret struggle & have you wondering if what you suspect is really true. I love how this book makes you fall in love with him & keeps you on the edge hoping for the best. I couldn't put this book down & I am patiently waiting for Love in Bloom.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love in Purgatory 27 January 2016

I absolutely loved this book. Dante is in hell thinking he's in love with his sister Em. He became a priest to atone for this sin. When Dante finds out that they aren't really related. Nothing, not the church, his family or anyone else is going to stop him from loving Em. Em has been in love with Dante since she was 21 yrs old. Nothing is going to stop her from claiming Dante as her own.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another Delivery! 27 February 2016

This was a very good book and its subject matter very sensitive. This was magic in the hands of this author. I have loved this entire series and its connection to her other major series so I was all in! The story was complex as were the characters. This story could have really gone to that "just all wrong" place but was taken to just the right place. I look forward to seeing what happens next so feel free to purchase the entire grouping. Great job!
