Product Description

"Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality." - Emily Dickinson

This is a book about the indestructability of love.

Journalist and author Karina Machado spoke to over 60 Australians with stories of post-death contact. She shares their life-shattering experience of loss, and shows how their spiritual contact with a deceased lover, friend or family member brought peace, hope and the solace of knowing that their connection lives on.
There is the story of a teenage boy who appears in bodily form on the eve of his funeral to bring comfort to his sister. A young husband returns to his widow in time to prevent another tragedy. A grandmother arrives to lovingly care for the infant children of her grief-stricken daughter. A man soothes his heartbroken brother with an otherworldly embrace.

Written with grace and compassion, Love Never Dies is as much about the power of loving relationships as it is the phenomenon of the survival of consciousness beyond death.

Prosaic literature that will bring relief to those suffering the loss of loved ones. Karina interviews people who have lost loved ones about their connections with those who have passed over. I read this with tears running down my face. What I love about Machado's writing is the depth of the imagery and emotion she so effortlessly conjures with her fluid writing style.
Macado builds a world where life is a continuum and those who have passed on do not wish us to suffer.
A deep, powerful and passionate work.

An interesting eye-opener. However, is it possible that only the dear departed with positive feedback have put in an appearance? Other less fortunate (unhappy) family members and/or loved ones have probably stayed out of contact, either voluntarily or otherwise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love always remains with us. 27 February 2015
By Wendy J. Dunn, author of Dear Heart, How Like You This?, The Light in the Labyrinth and Falling Pomegranate Seeds: The Duty of Daughters - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In this thought-provoking book, Machado, using her admirable skills as an investigative journalist, explores the existence of the after life by interviewing people from all walks of life who have had personal and powerful experiences of loved ones reassuring them of love after their deaths. Machado writes beautifully, and also with great compassion, insight and sensitivity about a subject we try our best to avoid in our modern world: death. But this is not only a book about death and the grief of loss, but also a book offering great comfort. The book serves as a vivid and unforgettable reminder that love never dies.

I picked up this book at my local bookstore after my dad died, as I was hoping to find some reading material to help me cope with my grief. This book was everything I needed (and more). It was most therapeutic! I laughed and cried my way through the book. It's simply beautiful!
