I will be honest when we met Tee and learn how she is connected to Louis I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy this book as much as the others. But I should know that I should never doubt Jaymin and her ability to write amazing stories.
So much effort has gone in to build such a great world that draws you in and characters that you feel what they feel. Louis and Tee have a great connection and this story is perfect for them.
To me, it felt like a totally different person wrote this book than the rest of the series - more of a novice writer than an experienced writer like Jaymin.
I didn't feel the connection between Louis and Tee, it was more like we were told rather than shown. And his actions back from before he began dating her sister ruined any respect I may have had for him.
There were also some things that were way OTT and some inconsistencies, and characters that just didn't really connect with me at all.
Overall, I didn't enjoy this book and am not sure I'll read the next one.
This instalment lacked the thrill and story development right from the start. We all knew where the story was going from the second chapter. The lack of character development and how easy everything was resolved was disappointing. I understand that each of these character only has one book to explore their personalities, abilities and true mate bond but the rushed setting makes the story suffer.
There was little suspense and was very predictable. I even found characters like Jessa lacked their originality and spunk. I think there is too many characters fighting for screen time and it makes it feel rushed and unresolved . I found their behavior disingenuous in both actions and their speech.
This book is fine for a quick read but is neither truly engaging or truly remarkable.
2.5 stars, I hope the next book finds an interesting plot to bring back some of the magic.
It's nice to see Jessa and her family, especially the babies, and get an update from them (even though this book continues on from the last one, it's just been so long since I've read it feels like I haven't seen the family in years).
As for the conflict that arises... well it will be interesting to see what comes from it and how things proceed in the future
I loved Louis throughout the whole Supernatural Prison series and really wanted to see him find his mate.
This was a fantastic story that really had me feeling for the MFC Elizabeth (Tee), she is one strong and fierce woman.
Louis, damn Louis was hot when he is all alpha.
Can’t wait to see how everything plays out when we get Jacob’s book.

I loved where his story went. It wasn't what I'd expected; it was so much more. I don't do spoilers, so you'll have to read the book to find out but this book took a really well written dark turn and is so much better for it. I loved the new character and this story was the most emotional of all the books so far.
Along with the development of this relationship, there are an assortment of dragons, fae, sorcerers, demons and others. Pure fantasy with a good dose of steam thrown in.
I think Louis is my new book boyfriend.
I really enjoyed this book and it will definitely be added to my read again pile. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series. A fantastic five stars from me.
