Product description
Hailed by The Wall Street Journal, JSP Records' historic, best-selling 2010 release of the 4CD Judy Garland: Lost Tracks 1929-1959 contained countless previously-unreleased tracks from private collections around the world. Lost Tracks 2 1936-1967 picks up where the earlier volume left off by containing numerous tracks that have been discovered since 2010. The Judy Garland (1922-1969) renaissance continues under the guidance of Lawrence Schulman, who has been the wind behind all of JSP's acclaimed sets devoted to the legendary singer. With audio restorations by the famed engineer, John H. Haley, and sleeve notes by the renowned Garland historian, Scott Brogan, who could ask for anything more?

New Judy Garland Material 50 Years After her Death
Reviewed in the United States on 15 March 2019Verified Purchase
This is a spectacular CD with newly released songs from Judy's radio years. It also has two religious songs that she performed that are unique because they are newly discovered plus she did not sing many religious songs.
I especially enjoyed the 14 year old Judy singing songs on the Oakies college radio show.
The song "Always " is a masterpiece because Judy is fantastic and does a membeorable monologue tribute to Irving Berlin. The young Judy did many monologues in the middle of her songs like she famously did in "Dear Mr. Gable".
I also enjoyed Judy's first rendition of Johnny One Note, 10 years before the movie Words and Music.
Finally, Judy sings a rousing version of "Pennies from Heaven ". She gets so worked up that she ends the song with "Yeah Man." I didn't know they even said that in the 1930's. Enjoy this CD.

Great material, good liner notes

After purchasing Lost Tracks Volume 1, I was excited to learn there was a Volume 2. This set is a great way to add a lot of really rare Judy songs to your library. Many tracks I had never heard before and didn't even know that Judy ever sang songs like "What the World Needs Now" from 1966. The sound quality of the various tracks is a little uneven, but I think having these alternate takes, radio performances, and TV performances make up for a little lesser sound quality. I highly recommend this set for every Judy fan to have in their library.

Really nice collection of songs

I love Judy Garland so hearing her sing almost anything into Joy. The lost tracks is really wonderful because there's songs on that I've never heard and I'm an avid Judy Garland fan. That is the key element to this collection is you get to hear songs that you've never heard before. I have no problem with the quality of the recordings they seem top-notch to me despite some reviews they quibble with this I find this to be a great collection and I think anyone would enjoy them if they have any interest in Judy Garland or they have good taste

Not very original

the early tracks, CD A, are good but CD B is a bust; Poor sound quality, poor recording, repeitious - how many recordings of The Trolley Song do we need, especially in poor sound? Steer clear of this one, even if you are a true Judy fan. You probably already have the best recordings; this one doesn'
