Product Description

Heartache makes for good country music. It's what country superstar Butch McCormick keeps telling himself. He’s done with women and can’t handle one more disappointment. He's taking a few months off to work on the old house on his parents' land to fix shutters, scrape paint, and figure out what he wants in life...
Then she appears out of nowhere, with red hair and a peaches-and-cream complexion...and just so damned lost.

Architect Kate Riley doesn't have the luxury of getting lost, having a damaged car, or being smitten by a sexy-talkin' cowboy with an irresistible smile. But the longer Kate stays at Elderberry Farm, the stranger things get. For one, there's the crazy chemistry between her and Butch. For another, dead bodies are starting to turn up...and Kate might be the murderer's next victim.

Each book in the Lost series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute I spent reading this story, it had a great mix of romance, passion, mystery, and humor. The characters had great chemistry and their banter had me laughing out loud!! Definitely a very impressive debut novel for Ms. Devito, she has earned herself a permanent spot on my go to authors list with this one!!! Can't wait to make a return visit to this series!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb romantic suspense! 20 October 2015

Whoever is selecting the Select Suspense novels for Entangled Publishers deserves an award for the high calibre, superb, well written novels they have released today - including this one!

When Architect Kate Riley gets lost and asks country superstar Butch McCormick for directions and helps him hang the sign on his home without recognising him the ones he gives her land her right back on his land again, this time with a shredded tyre! Little does she know that dangers associated with this handsome singer/songwriter.

He’s returned to his family home after his third marriage is about to end in divorce. He’s taking some time off to work on repairing the old house which originally belonged to his grandparents. He never expected a feisty red head to burst into his life and prove such a distraction! As fate throws them together and their mutual attraction develops, there are dangers around as a serial murderer kills more people who were close to Butch . . . who is the killer? Will Kate be their next victim? Why are they killing their victims?

This is a superbly written story which engages the reader from the first page to the last. As more bodies are discovered the tension and suspense grows dramatically. All the characters and their interactions are brilliantly portrayed, making it easy for the reader to be drawn in to the story. There are plenty of sign posts along the book’s journey, but lots of twists, turn and unexpected detours, including humorous moments, to keep you enthralled. This is a book I highly recommend to anyone who likes suspense filled thrillers with serial killers and romance.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great romantic suspense story 21 October 2015
By Linda M. - Published on Amazon.com

I. Love. This. Book. It has everything I like in a story - great writing, great characters, and a hot romance. I feel like I really got to know all of the characters. Butch is a sweetheart and Kate is a strong, well-adjusted woman who isn't afraid to follow her heart. I also loved Tom and Jeb and sincerely hope they get their own books some day. Although it's obvious who the villain is, I still think this is a great story. The mystery/suspense elements of the story escalate at just the right pace. I love how the relationship between Butch and Kate becomes stronger and deeper as the story progresses and their romantic scenes are super hot. This is one of the best books I have read in a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one of my favorite Entangled books of this month 21 October 2015

Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Definitely one of my favorite Entangled books of this month. I wasn't prepared to be so lost in the story from page one -- but I was. The believability factor was definitely there; Butch and Kate felt extremely real and were enjoyable to read. The added element of suspense was a great surprise; the title and cover did not give away the impression, but like I said, it was written well. I loved how down to earth Butch was; in his profession, it would have been easy to paint him in a different light.
4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read 20 October 2015

Tough one to rate! I loved the story. Butch and Kate were great characters as were all the secondary characters. I enjoyed the attraction between Butch and Kate and their developing relationship. The twists and turns of the storyline were excellent. I did think though that it was terribly drawn out. Midway through the book I could tell you who dunnit! I would have liked a little more drama and suspense when the guilty party is discovered and captured. With all that said, I did enjoy it and would recommend it to everyone.
