Thank heaven I found this book and found Katrina. I have been struggling most of my life with weight problems and am now in my 60's, I have read a lot of self help books about weight problems this is the only one that makes sense and actually deals with this huge problem. Diets do not work and unless you address the emotional patterns behind what makes us eat too much, the wrong food, emotional overeat etc. the problems will continue. I am a trained alternative therapist and as a result have done a lot of work on myself to deal with my weight issues and none of them worked until I found Katrina. I cannot recommend this book highly enough - I have been working with Katrina now on a one to one basis and she has not only helped me to address the reasons behind my weight problems but she has also helped me with other huge problems which have contributed to my being extremely ill for a number of years. She is one of the most gifted healers I have ever come across and because of what I do I know a lot. She is also extremely funny, kind, and has a huge heart. This book should be mainstream - they should be making documentaries about this.

Brilliant book that really started my healing and viewing my weight loss journey in a different way...there were many emotional issues which needed to be healed in order for weight loss to start, it wasn’t all about food and exercise and Katrina’s own story is very inspiring. It also linked me into Jon Gabriel and the Gabriel Method and has completely changed my life. I purchased this book 3 years ago and I am just about to pre-order Katrina’s new book. I am a different person than I was 3 years ago and I am grateful to Katrina for setting me on that healing path. I look forward to her new book and the insights that will bring....if you are unsure, buy it and check out The Gabriel Method aswell...I dont think you will be disappointed!!

Uplifting and encouraging book about sensibly losing weight, whilst still honouring your body and feelings. Refreshingly down to earth. I found the last sections on emotional eating very useful, especially the advice on journaling your feelings instead of eating them! Well written and inspiring and well worth a read if you are ready for a different perspective on healthy weight loss.

I love this book - it just makes so much sense to me and I love the way it is written. I am not an avid reader but I could not put this book down and I had read it in a couple of days which for me is unheard of. I have also adopted a lot of what Katrina writes about and I am already feeling much healthier.

Having had eating issues all my life, it was such a relief to read this book. It’s a very emotive book healing book that amongst other things, teaches us to be kind to our selves. I would highly recommend it to everyone, not just those with eating or body issues.
