** Literally a laugh out loud kind of book! **

Just don't start reading it an hour before bed Gia Scott (VineVoice)

A very funny peek into the life and mind of Cathy, housewife, mum and frustrated woman. Highly recommended!- Michele Gorman, Best-selling author of THE BIG LITTLE WEDDING IN CARLTON SQUARE

Bored stay at home mother, Cathy, finds her predictable routine upturned as she investigates a lipstick-covered love postcard sent to husband, Declan. Who is this mysterious La La? Could Declan really be having an affair? And - wait - is Cathy actually being stalked?

With all her friends hiding secrets, a sexy admirer igniting long-forgotten sparks, and the stress of organizing the school's Save The Toilets dance, soon it's not only Cathy's marriage that's in jeopardy. Add in the scheming antics of Declan's new assistant and a possible murderer on the scene and the stage is set for a dangerous showdown and some very unsettling, even deadly, revelations.

5* Comedy Drama Murder + More. Packed with humour (The Toilet Dance did have me intrigued). Laughs galore but also a murderous undertone. From romps with those that should not be romped with to accidents that should never happen a read that carries itself right from the start to finish. Alessi Lover, Amazon Top 500 Reviewer

Go on an amazingly funny, brilliant and entertaining ride with Cathy and her crazy cast of friends and neighbors!  Mrs Mommy Booknerd

You are quickly drawn into this very unpredictable, well thought out story, full of mystery, gossip and secrets which keeps you guessing right to the last chapter. ElaineG (Amazon Top 100 Reviewer)

Filled with great characters and hilarious, yet believable scenes. I highly recommend Looking for La La if you need a good laugh!  Christy's Cozy Corners

I bought and read this February 2016, why it's taken me so long to publish my review I have no idea. However having just re-read it I really felt I needed to get this review published its such a fun read.
I really enjoy humour, and British humour is my favourite as it's self deprecating, sarcastic, clever and fun.
Looking for La La by Ellie Campbell is fabulous, fun chaos that will hold your interest from page one until the surprising end. When Cathy's husband gets a postcard that is signed "with love from La La " Cathy is excited at the prospect of figuring out the mystery. The story definitely kept me guessing. Everyone is keeping secrets, I was definitely surprised by how things turned out. Cathy is funny. A stay at home mum, she is zany, out there And Her mouth gets her into trouble. My favourite quote:- "Men,' Gabby sighs. 'Spend all their time trying to turn you into their mothers, wanting clothes ironed, meals cooked, but then they despise you because you remind them of their mothers."
This book was fun British Chick-Lit at its best.

Ahh, where to start?! I got really caught up in this novel. It took me a while to warm up to Cathy, the main character. Not sure I actually did end up liking her... Normally, the main character is a deal breaker for me. Not relating to him/her is usually the kiss of death... but not with Cathy in Looking for La La. Even though she wasn't my favorite MC, the story was so well written. It was intriguing, it was funny, it was fast paced,...
What a roller-coaster! Looking for La La really has everything. Family life, girlfriends, gossip, love, relationships, intrigue, betrayal, stalkers,... you name it, 'Ellie Campbell' put it in there. Brilliant. Like I said, I got really caught up reading it. I felt all Cathy's ups and downs, highs and lows,... even though her life is as different from mine as possible, it just all felt so... real! And those twists! This is probably as unpredictable as fiction goes, I mean, seriously.
I cannot wait to read more from this fabulous sister-author-duo, Pam and Lorraine.

Whilst this book got off to a slow start, the ultimate ending and all the twists and turns made it - for me - a satisfying read.
Cathy and Declan's relationship is an interesting one as is the premise of the lipstick marked postcard. This very much drew me into the story. As the story itself developed, I really grew to care for Cathy and I just wanted for her to be happy!
Finally, the book had a great sense of humour and the twist was excellent.
On the whole, this was a fun, clever read with a great cast of characters. Certainly a good way to spend a couple of hours.

Took a long time to get the real story out in this book, not sure there even was one at the end. Was convinced I would never get through it & wanted to stop reading until about 70% into it when finally the story picked up and became readable. The main character, a bored house wife, just never grew or developed. Feel I've wasted my time reading this book.

This was o.k. It was a bit scattered? Don't know how else to discrive it... Maybe the mind of the main character is scattered and that is why I felt that way. Maybe a very light, quick holiday read...
