I have been a fan of this adult western series for many years and I have read most of the Longarm books. I just finished reading this 187 page paperback book (Longarm #407 and the vanishing lady by Tabor Evans) which I purchased for a bargain price on Amazon. This story begins with Custis Long, U.S. Federal Deputy Marshal, trying to stop a runaway wagon on the street in Denver. He saw a woman and an old man thrown from the wagon as he finally stopped the horses. The woman’s name is Lilly St. Clair and the man was Lilly’s father. After taking care of business at that time, this Lilly St. Clare seems to have disappeared.
This begins the western adventure which leads Longarm to Cheyenne to investigate a missing federal deputy Link St. Clair who is the husband of Lilly. Like most of the Longarm western novels this one has several twists and turns along with shoot-outs and of course some lusty scenes as well. If you are a fan of the Longarm series you may want to check this book out. I found it to be a good read.
Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical Principles of the most effective combative systems).
