Characters were a little better developed than the first book, but the story was still pretty bland, and then just ended, never really went anywhere. I was not impressed and do not recommend this book.
R.M Allinson is a master of creating personable character profiles. Within pages you are drawn into the world she weaves and you feel genuine concern for Tom and Lucy and the family they have created together in the face of armageddon. The alternating narratives do an excellent job of keeping the you, as the reader, on the edge of your seat and the book addresses many of the 'real life' scenarios one would have to consider in a doomsday event. The only complaint from this reader is that the book ended. Looking forward to the next one please R.M. Allinson.
