Rosalie is very much loved in her community but has no business sense when a 'ruthless' businessman sweeps in and threatens the only home and family she has ever known. It also introduces some real characters in the village too.
This is an absolutely fab debut into contemporary romance that I would totally recommend to anyone... oh and yes, a sequel please :)
At its heart, no pun intended, are the two main characters, Rosalie Heart and Marc Peterson, and they absolutely make this book a joy. Rosalie is kind-hearted, community-spirited and, yes, very stubborn. Marc is a businessman who is used to making money and has never really minded who his company has to destroy to gain a profit. But recently, Marc has changed his mind about how his firm operates, and it could just be that someone like Rosalie could make him see life in a whole new light.
This is much more than a romcom, although it's very romantic and very funny. For a start, Raventhorn is haunted by ghosts, a fact which adds a whole new dimension to the story. There's an intriguing subplot concerning Norse mythology, which I found fascinating, and a compelling storyline that deals with sabotage, assaults, kidnap and theft. Really, this book has it all.
And if that sounds like a bad thing - well, it isn't. The author has deftly plotted this book so that it flows beautifully and everything comes together in a very satisfying conclusion indeed.
I highly recommend this novel. I loved it and will look out for more books by Marie Laval.
The detail of the personal nature notch was a bit much and the repeating of how felt. would put some off.
All in all it was a grand story that could not put down, was slightly sad when ended, but the writer has written more books and am working way through another gripping story by the author.
If said anymore it would spoil it for you.
had book's by Marie before until I agreed to take part in this Blog Tour. How bad am I?!
Having read the Dancing with the Devils series Marie brings us something totally
different with Little Pink Taxi which in fact is her first contemporary novel. Which
might be whyI didn't realise.
Set in Scotland we meet Rosalie Heart and follow her on quite a journey. Here I am
expecting a chic lit, but how wrong was I. This is one of those stories that has abit of
everything in it. From romance and humor, to drama and romance, Not forgetting the
supernatural element of it which I have to say I wasn't expecting...I do love a good
Little Pink Taxi is full of characters that you will adore it is beautifully written with
descriptions that make you feel part of the story. I also love the historical feel Marie
It is a quick and easy read which will having you turning the pages until the end to find
out what happens. Talk about full of suspense, It is a very enjoyable read which I highly
