I found this novel one that was hard to put down from the moment I read the first page. The characters were introduced in such a way that you were absorbed from the word "go". There were no spelling errors throughout and the descriptive use of the English language was exemplary. A joy to read thru and thru!

Janet Gover has done it again!!!
I loved The Wild One and reading Little Girl Lost and going back to Coorah Creek is like visiting old friends. Characters I know and love pop into the story but the main focus is on Tia Walsh, Max Delaney, Sarah Travers and Peter Rankin.
Tia is working on the Goongalla Mines and trying to escape a dark past. She is broken but strong. Max was a big city cop transferred to outback Coorah Creek as punishment for sticking by his morals. He has high morals and a kind heart. Sarah is back in Coorah Creek as her father is ill. Will she stay or will the big city call her back? Peter is a truck driver who believes in doing the right thing only sometimes the right thing can be wrong for everyone.
What I love about Janet Gover’s stories is that the characters are such real people with problems and dreams that I can relate to.
Gover’s stories have a wonderful recurring theme of communities coming together in times of tragedy and for a common cause. In this story the town comes together when a little girl is lost in the national park.
Little Girl Lost has multiple storylines that interweave to produce a feel good novel that evokes many emotions and is very hard to put down.
Recommended for readers that enjoy their romance with a little mystery and suspense.

I was so looking forward to this book as I had loved the others. I have no doubt that the story itself is great but the narration was just awful for me. I have had a few books where the narration was off putting but I was enjoying the book so kept going. This however was so awful after 4 chapters I decided to return the book for another.
I may at some point read the physical book

and Pete to all have their well deserved happy endings in this well written and entertaining romance
Reviewed in Australia on 4 August 2016
I was rooting for Tia, Max, Sara, and Pete to all have their well deserved happy endings in this well written and entertaining romance. What was even better was the chance to visit Coorah Creek. Loved the descriptions of the outback, which has always been fascinating to me. THanks to netgalley for the ARC and to Choclit for bringing Australian books to the US market.

Another great hit in the Coorah Creek series
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2017Verified Purchase
Third great story in the main Coorah Creek series, and I've loved every one. Although with a similar format of bringing together damaged characters and throwing them into a melting pot situation to find love and peace in this fictitious outback town, each book and its characters is so different that each one feels fresh and new, while it's lovely to catch up with characters from earlier books, too. Really makes the reader feel as if it's a real place where life moves on in some ways, but remains the same in others. A super read, brilliantly and sensitively written. I look forward to whatever Janet Gover writes next.

I enjoy all the Coorah Creek novels and Little Girl Lost ...

I enjoy all the Coorah Creek novels and Little Girl Lost is as excellent as the others. I enjoy the authentic setting and descriptions of the outback because they are totally different to anything in my own experience. Janet Gover has woven a wonderfully warm community where friendship is precious and when the main character arrives with problems, or when a child gets lost, everyone rallies round to help. That does not mean an easy solution. Not all the characters are good people but good or bad, they are strong and well defined and make the reader take notice.

This is my first visit to Coorah Creek. I really enjoyed the setting in the Australian outback. I liked the way the book ran with two couples - Tia, Max, Sarah and Pete, all four connected in some way, but each with their own problems. Well written with likeable characters and an excellent plot...and, of course, a happy ending.
