Who doesn't love a great anthology?? It's better if it's about that wardrobe staple the LBD and even better if it's also raising money for families dealing with cancer. Triple threat.

Four hilarious intertwined love stories about the power of the perfect LBD. The right level of sweet, smoking hot chemistry and plenty of laughs.

The moral of the story - female friendships and a kick ass LBD help in every situation.

"Go-vaginas, go-go-vaginas"

I really enjoyed Little Black Dress Anthology. All four stories are fun, sexy, and heart-warming and will make you smile.

First story is Abby's Angel by Sarah O'Rourke. I haven't read anything by Sarah O'Rourke before but after reading this it won't be the last. This story had so much heart.

The second story is Lucy's a Dreamer by Brynne Asher. This was a lot of fun and I loved Vaughn. There is nothing better than a hero that knows what he wants.

Story three is Kiss Me, Katie by Sarah Curtis. It is the sweetest story in the bunch and my favorite. I really found the connection between Katie and Ethan believable and I really wiish there was a full length novel about them. I just loved it.

The final story is Winnie Mae by Layla Frost. It will make you laugh out loud and is extremely hot.

All net proceeds go to Gilda's Club Rochester how help support those living with cancer, their friends and family. Another reason to read this book.

Overall a fantastic read for a fantastic cause. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect little black dress, a must in any wardrobe! 2 February 2017

Loved this anthology, it was comical, for the most part, and passionate. While the stories are short, they did not feel rushed. Plus ask proceeds go to charity: Gilda’s Club, Rochester - a win-win! And now a bit about each of the stories...

Abby's Angels by Sarah O'Rourke

Abby and Whit fell for each other at first site. Now 10 years later, they are struggling to start their family. To save their marriage Abby suggests counseling. But Whit never shows up, can a sexy little black dress save the day?

Favorite passage: Abby shifted uncomfortably as her sister shook her head and stared at her like she’d just proposed they vote in Mickey Mouse for president.

Lucy's a Dreamer by Brynne Asher

Lucy has dreamed of her older brother's best friend Vaughn since she was a teen. Showing up late to her brother's wedding rehearsal in the sexy little black dress years, has grabbed Vaughn's attention, but can it save them from her brother's wrath?

Favorite passages:
- Closing a business deal in the back of the church like the devil, I pull my money clip out of my pocket and peel off five bills, handing them over.
- “You know I have the fashion sense of a warthog at the ballet.”

Kiss Me, Katie by Sarah Curtis

Katie graduated from the police academy six months ago. Her family is worried about her dangerous job. He mom keeps trying to set her up on blind dates, hoping she will fall in love, have babies, and stay home. Katie can't take another family dinner. She hatches a plan of her own to ask her handsome and older partner to pretend to be her date. When Ethan sees Katie in the sexy little black dress, pretend is the furthest thing from his mind...

Favorite passage: Babbling her plight and woes, she'd spewed her confession like a cop in need of a donut fix...

Winnie Mae by Layla Frost

Winnie gets dragged to an office holiday party by her roommate. Her job allows her to work from home, so yoga pants and t-shirts are her go to. But that won't work for a ritzy party. Dressed in the sexy little black dress, Winnie has decided to play one of her characters. When Max sees her, he is drawn immediately. But Winnie Mae be in trouble...

Favorite passages:
- I had a hot date planned tomorrow night.” Emma lifted her brows. “You’ re going to watch Netflix.” “And drink a glass or four of wine.”
- “Big marathon fan.” Yup, I can push myself and get through an entire season in two or three days on Netflix.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love These Stories!!! 1 February 2017

If you’re a fan of humorous, steamy novellas this book is for you. However, if you’re a fan of helping friends, family and loved ones as well as those battling cancer, then this book is DEFINITELY for you. You need to one click RIGHT NOW! All proceeds from the sale of this book are going toward Gilda’s Club. With all the one clicking so many of us do, sometimes without a second thought, this is the time to click without hesitation.

Abby’s Angels – Sarah O’Rourke

Abby and Whit are struggling in their marriage. They have had some seriously bad times that have resulted in an emotional separation that Abby is fighting with everything within herself to overcome but Whit seems to not be responding to anything. Fortunately, Abby’s sister Lucy has the solution. Out comes the LBD and well, let’s just say Whit does love the memories that little black dress holds. This novella is fast paced and steamy. Lucy is hilarious and her banter with Abby was so entertaining. Whit definitely redeems himself in a big way. Loved the solution and the epilogue is just icing on the cake.

Lucy’s a Dreamer – Brynne Asher

Lucy Gladys Adair is not good at adulting. After a wedding rehearsal hook up with Vaugh Isaac Rowe, the boy/man she has crushed on since middle school, she slips out believing that’s all it’s ever going to be. However, Vaughn is not done. He doesn’t do one nights and now he’s got to make Lucy realize that he wants more. The day is a hilarious display of the Master of the Bullshitters, the Feng Shui Fraud and the Will impersonator. You’ll have to read it to find out more about the many faces of Vaughn. And believe me, you want to read it. Vaughn is yumminess personified. This little nugget packs a lot of story into such a short space.

Kiss Me, Katie – Sarah Curtis

Oh my lord! Officer Ethan Pierce is one hot cop! And Katie has been in love with him for months. Partners at the San Francisco police department they have both kept their growing feelings to themselves. That is until Katie has to defend herself against her family and their persistence that she settle down with a husband and children. This offers the perfect opportunity for Ethan to make his move. And that little black dress, it only adds fuel to the fire. I loved that these two had had time to get to know each other so their next step was built on a foundation of trust and respect. This is a great little novella that I just didn’t want to end. I would’ve loved to have had more of Katie and Ethan.

Winnie Mae – Layla Frost

Max has been ‘Winifreded’. Yes, that is my made up word for the stunt Winnie Mae pulls on the handsome stranger she meets at a Christmas party. Winnie is a quirky fun heroine that lives pretty much by her own rules while making fun of herself and her antics and actually making a living while doing so. Unfortunately, her Winifred joke lands her in a position that keeps getting tighter and tighter. (Are you thinking dirty thoughts? Well, you could be right!) Max is not who he seems and Winnie will learn that after having to make a hard decision in order to try and keep him. This little ditty was hot and different from anything I’ve read before.

To the authors of this incredible anthology written with love and care, thank you ladies for giving of your time and talent to help those that are struggling daily. Y’all are the best!

(Honesty prevails, and I've honestly reviewed this advance copy)

Little Black Dress is an Anthology. Four short stories about four women and a Little Black Dress that gets passed between sisters and friends. Sarah O'Rourke is a 1-click author for me and thru her I was introduced to Brynne Asher, Sarah Curtis, Layla Frost. I'm reading my way thru all their books and I'm enjoying each and every book. Since cancer has hit my family and friends hard I'm beyond grateful to these amazing authors and ladies for donating net proceeds of Little Black Dress to Gilda's Club. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Having support during that awful time is so so important
Abby's Angels By Sarah O'Rourke
Sarah O'Rourke has one again written a great story with laughter, tears, hot sex scenes, a sweat story about Abby and Whit who have drifted apart and nothing Abby is trying to do to save her marriage seems to be working. Whit keeps blowing Abby off and forgetting important dates. Abby is so hurt and angry. Enter Abby's sister Lucy and their funny dialogue. Lucy gives Abby some advice on how to talk to Whit or not talk but let the Little Black Dress weave its magic. Whit is keeping a secret from his wife and knows her patience is at the end with his withdrawal from her and their marriage. You will have to read and find out Whit's secret and if Whit and Abby get their HEA.
Lucy's a Dreamer By Brynne Asher
Lucy is Abby's sister and she needs to borrow a dress for their brothers wedding rehearsal. So Lucy borrows Abby's LBD. At the rehearsal Lucy sees Vaughn again, Vaughn is her brothers best friend since school. Lucy had a crush on Vaughn when she was younger. This is a funny story of how Lucy tries to hide than ignore Vaughn who is having none of that. This is a sexy story about an alpha who knows who he wants and will stop at nothing to get it. You will have to read their story to see if they get their HEA.
Kiss me Katie By Sarah Curtis
Katie needs a dress for a dinner her parents are having so she calls her friend Lucy and Lucy has just the dress, it's the LBD. Katie needs to figure out away to get her parents off her back about her career choice and to stop trying to set her up with men to marry her off so she forgets about her job. Enter Katie's partner at work Ethan. Katie needs a favor from Ethan. You will need to read this sweat story of friends and partners at work trying to move on to something special.
Winne Mae By Layla Frost
Winnie is asked by her roommate to go with her to her company Christmas party. Winnie is in need of a dress so she contacts Katie and Katie borrows Winnie the LBD. The Christmas party is hilarious when Winnie meets Max. I laughed out loud quite a bit while reading this story. Winnie thinks she is taking Max on a ride. You will have to read this story to see if Winnie and Max get their HEA.
I loved all four short stories, I laughed, I cried, and cheered them all on. You will really enjoy these wonderful love stories these wonderful authors have written.
5.0 out of 5 stars I’m a fan of the Little Black Dress 1 February 2017

I think I may be the WORST reviewer for Anthologies. When I was asked to review Little Black Dress, I was all – Sure, sure, I’m honoured to be asked… Inside my head, I’m screaming – Bloody, bloody, bloody Hell! I am soooo going to stuff this up.

See, I start every anthology with the intent to stop after each story and get my feelings down. Yes, I was determined that THIS time I would act professional and review each instalment individually.

Well, it didn’t happen. I got to the end of Abby’s story (first cab off the rank) and thought I’d just click to the next page to be prepared…and…

Here I am at the end of the book!!

Bloody Hell…I did it again!!

This anthology was AWESOMELY BRILLIANTLY SPECTACULARLY…GOOD! Seriously, I’m not just saying that because it’s raising money for a worthwhile cause. I’m not even just saying it because I’m a fan of these authors. It’s just me saying – Here you go, I’ve done the research and found four stories that gave me SSS – Smile, Squirm and Sigh…or maybe… HHH – Hot, Humorous and High (Book high, no drugs were taken or misused in the reading of Little Black Dress).

Anyways, my summaries are brief and pretty much stick to my reactions and feelings. Each of these short stories left me with a big goofy smile on my face.

Abby’s story was all about reconnecting with her husband when life and drama made it seem like love and commitment weren't a priority anymore. I think, if you’ve ever been in a long-term relationship, we’ve all faced this one. A great reminder that whatever challenges you face, it should be faced together, holding hands and supporting each other.

The second story is about Abby’s little sister Lucy and what happens after her “biggest crush” sees her now as a very sexy adult instead of the pesky little sister of his best friend. This one is funny and super sweet. I had the sighs and “ain’t love grand?” heart flutters with this one.

The third story introduces us to Katie who is trying to thwart her parent's devotion to getting her hitched by introducing her to “blind dates” at the family dinner’s. Now, the main reason she’s not keen on the blind dates is because she has serious feelings for her partner facing crime and fellow police officer, Ethan. Two police officers and one of them is seriously bossy in the bedroom. I like bossy in the bedroom….HUBBA HUBBA!!

The last story we meet the very funny Win. OMG!! I busted out laughing a couple of times in this one. Seriously, Win and Max and their straight talking CRACKED ME UP!! Winnie is asked to attend a work function with a friend and decides to make things interesting. Win dresses and acts the part of serious government contract worker, Winnifred. She meets and falls for Max as Winnifred. What will happen when he finds out who she really is and what she’s really like???

All of these stories have one thing in common…a Little Black Dress. This thing is magical. Whoever wears this dress seems to have the best night (and sex) of their life.

I seriously (I know I’ve only said that word 20 billion times) recommend Little Black Dress. I’m kind of hoping, seeing as it’s raising money for a good cause, the authors will think about doing more of these. They were that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars An anthology that is amazing and demanding for another like it. 1 February 2017

I am a huge fan of all four of these authors. They are automatic one click for me. When I saw they were doing an anthology, I jumped for joy and couldn't wait to read it. I finished it in one night because I couldn't put it down. It was that good! These are the perfect short stories that are full of love, laughter, hot sex and happy endings. I also LOVE the fact that each story is not only connected by a piece of clothing... but also the characters are intertwined. The flow and characters are very well developed and goes together smoothly.

I can't recommend this book enough and the proceeds are going to an amazing charity. Below is a short review on each book. I try my hardest not to give away to many details in my reviews.

First story is by Sarah O'Rourke - Whit and Abby is having issues in their marriage, and she is at a loss on how to get it back. Her sister Lucy and a little black dress is what starts the ball rolling on getting things back to where they should be. #RelationshipGoals #WhitIsAwesome #ICried

Second story is by Brynne Ashers - Lucy and Vaughn are explosive and hysterically funny. Lucy is from the first story, and just like in that one, her witty comments have you giggling. She wants to make an amazing impression on Vaughn so she gains the help of the little black dress from her sister. Vaughn is just as funny as she is which makes them perfect for each other. #BurnedBread #UnicornSparkles #TheShuiWasOff

Third story is by Sarah Curtis - Katie and Ethan are explosive and sweet. Katie needs to change her parents mind on hooking her up and she needs to do it quickly... but she needs help from Ethan and also... the little black dress she gets from Lucy. Their relationship has you swooning and wanting the same explosive love they have for each other. #Handcuffs #DonutFixStat #DirtingTheDress

The last story is by Layla Frost - Max and Winnie are hot hot hot! Winnie agrees to go to a party with her friend and that is when the little black dress comes into play. Their text convos had me cracking up and also makes you a little hot. Their is one part in the story that had me laughing so hard I had tears and couldn't breath. I still laugh hard at it just thinking about it. This story was the perfect ending to the anthology. #WinnieMae #NerdGirlsRock #ItWasPokingHerEye (omg still laughing hard)

Thanks for a fantastic read and I really hope there will be a Little Black Dress part two in the future <3
