I think it's lovely to see such understanding characters in this book. It is great that the mother tackled the problem by showing that she understood his feelings rather than just telling him off and it is good that this can help the children too as they will learn from him by following the simple breathing exercise. I think the way the coping strategy was explained is fantastic as it is very easy for children to understand with the child friendly references as to how to do it.
The illustrations are brilliant and we get to see the emotions change throughout the book as we see how the actions leave the family feeling. The calm pages are shown with calming images which helps us see how his feelings have changed in a clear and visual way. This is a fantastic book to help children understand and cope with feelings of anger, well worth a read.
