THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors—and into her heart.

Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim 1/5 of the credit. She’s determined to make it a success and can’t think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she’s in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him—his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school—he’s all bad boy...exactly her type and exactly what she doesn’t need.

Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what’s always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed. Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake’s past finally catches up with him.

Will Addie be torn apart once again or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?

Kristen Proby has outdone herself once again. I have loved every single book she has written and this one was awesome. I've been dying to read this new series ever since she announced it. Who doesn't love a musician and Jake was the best one for Addie. I can't wait to read about the other girls, especially after that ending!

Listen to Me was a great start to what’s guaranteed to be a sexy and romantic new series. Kristen Proby has a proven formula where she not only has fabulously interesting leading ladies and leading men but she creates a wonderful ensemble cast of friends and family that make the books feel so much more real than other books in this genre. I loved the tight knit group that these 5 ladies showed to be and am looking to reading their stories in upcoming books. Now for Addison and Jakes story....
Addie is gorgeous and smart but has bad taste in men, having a thing for bad boys, specifically bad boys who are musicians. The men she dates never treat her the way they should and that leaves Addie a little broken. After the latest boyfriend failure, Addie decides that she’s done with men….at least, that was her plan.
Jake is a successful musician. Years ago he was one of the hottest rock stars around, until an accident occurred which left Jake at rock bottom. Now, he mainly writes and produces music (very successfully), but there is a part of him that misses be in front of a mic. When he hears that Seduction - the restaurant that Addie and her friends own and operate, is looking for a weekend act, Jake auditions and gets the job.
Together, Addie and Jake are sexy and sweet. The attraction sizzles with these two and the chemistry is off the charts. We all need a Jake in our lives!
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I found Addie's paranoia annoying at times and some of her over reactions a little immature.
No matter what, I see good things for this series and I'm really looking forward to more.
