I've never written a book review before.. and I've read a lot of books! A real testament to how much I believe in this book, this message and this community!
I got onto Jim's work through the meditation teacher, Emily Fletcher. It felt to me like Jim showed the path forward in my life that I'd been looking for, in such a simple, grounded, well researched + proven way.
An incredible and inspiring human, Jim is a living example of what he teaches, super real and an all round legend! I love that the proceeds for the book are directed to building schools and funding Alzheimers research.
Limitless is like the map that each of us need to guide us along the journey of learning and becoming who we want to be. I'm getting so much value out of this book, and the thing is that reading this book, is helping me to get so much more out of the other books I read and information I take in. LEARNING HOW TO LEARN! Invaluable in every area of life.
I feel 100% confident to recommend this to everyone, regardless of who you are, what you do or where you are in life.
Biggest love Jim and the amazing team <3

Honestly the first two thirds of this book I found to be more about marketing his online courses to the reader.
Just skip to the methods aspect, for the actual learning tips (if you do end up purchasing), discard all the anecdotal evidence of techniques and you may find some use out it. For $20 wasn’t a total waste of time, just overly hyped.

I've always been a steady reader but i had no idea i was doing all the bad habits of reading i learnt in school, subvocalising, fixating on each word, losing focus and then back tracking
This book is a clear guide on relearning how to learn and opening yourself all the potentials of your brain
so much great information in here that has made me want to be curious to see where this could take me
My memory has improved significantly over the last few weeks, i'm more focused and inspired to do more with my time during isolation
I am so grateful to have stubbled upon Jim on youtube and i can't wait to spend the rest of my life being a student and teaching others what i have learned
Thank You Jim Kwik for sharing your knowledge

Got this book to try accelerate my reading but it was full of anecdotal evidence and links to his website. Not much in the way of techniques at all. Suppose it is an interesting read if you need to get started somewhere

Absolutely loved this book. For me (previously perceived myself as a "slow reader"), I completed this book in 19days. Prior to this book I thought completing a book a month was unreachable for me. Not anymore. This book has truly open up my mind and my brain to what is really possible in terms of learning.
Thank you Jim for putting your 20 yrs of wisdom into a very comprehendible book.

This book is absolutely fantastic and it leads to exponential brain growth opportunities!
Reviewed in Australia on 29 May 2020Verified Purchase
This is a text book to upgrade your brain. Just like a luxurious Christmas hamper, it's fully packed with goodies. Only good things, nothing is a filler. There are many practical techniques to learn such as creating good habits, speed reading, memory retention, strategic thinking and more. The brain coach Jim encourages us to teach these techniques to others so you can learn twice. By teaching, you can ensure that you have a good understanding of the techniques and be able to apply your knowledge. Applied knowledge in action is power. As Jim puts it, this book is truly "One Book to Learn Them All". The chapters are set out so you can follow in the order of your limitless adventure. In fact, you do limitless. To upgrade your brain, you will work on your limitless Mindset, Motivation and Methods. What's more, this book opens up to a 10-day free learning program (which is amazing) and purchasers have been invited to live sessions such as Limitless Together and Book Club. Jim's extraordinary friends generously joined us in the LimitlessTogether sessions and gave us mind-blowing insights. Likes of Jessica Ortner, Dr BJ Fogg, Dr Jeff Spencer, Shawn Stevenson, Tom Bilyeu and Steve Kotler (at the time of writing this review, we've just had a Day 3 session). With Jim and his friends' support, we Team Limitless are learning together in these sessions to become limitless. Too good to miss this.

It was insightful and good, and was nice to revisit what Jim has taught in his podcasts; however, did not do much more than that. Didn’t learn anything extra. If anything, I learned less than in his podcasts. Overall though, would recommend to anyone that doesn’t/hasn’t listened to him before.

Tap into your Limitless Potential and discover your Superpowers
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 April 2020Verified Purchase
Jim has an amazing ability to help you unlock your abilities and inspire you to better use your brain. Whenever I watch any Jim Kwik video, I am always mesmerised with how he inspires everyone and provides really actionable tactics to help anyone improve their memory, reading, thinking, focus and learning activities. This is why I was super excited to get the book.
The book is a very easy read and helps the reader understand the limitless model which encompasses Mindset, Motivation and Methods. Jim starts with explaining why this is important especially today when we are affected by Digital Dementia and Digital Deduction where the dependency on technology is actually stopping us from using our brains effectively, have better recall and read and learn better.
I think this is a very important part of the book as it sets the scene outlining what the issues are and then very clearly makes a statement that this can all be fixed. We can turn on the power and tap into the neuroplasticity of our brain. It obviously needs a system and training and this is what the remainder of the book lays out.
Part 2 of the book covers the WHAT aspect, the MINDSET and discusses possibility. It covers some really useful concepts on belief systems and the 7 lies of learning.
Part 3 covers the WHY, the MOTIVATION and focusses on purpose, energy, flow and small simple steps.
Part 4 covers the HOW, the METHODS and discusses Focus, Study, Memory, Speed Reading and Thinking. This is comprehensive gives practical exercises
What I love about the book:
- It is packed with wisdom to help you to reflect and take action
- It is packed with actionable tools, each chapter has sections called Kwik Start which prompt you to do something, write something or outline a technique. (I have included a photo showing an example of this)
- It comes with a 10 Day video course called Kwik Start which can be used along with the book. It has great content and Jim inspires as he teaches this
- It makes you BELIEVE that you can learn better and it helps you see this by giving you the tools and helping you develop the mindset
- Every page is packed with useful information. This is not about Jim showing us how good he is. No waffle, no trying to repeat unnecessary things. The book delivers high-quality content on every page. There are dedicated pages for quotes but these add value to a book designed to be functional, a great reference guide and support to implement action.
- It provides a framework to help train your brain. You won't improve just by reading the book, you will have to do the exercise and have a training regimen. Jim helps you to implement this.
If you want to tap into your limitless potential and discover your Superpowers. If you want to be a better learner to improve all areas of your life then this is a great book to read. I highly recommend this book for anyone of any age. Use it not only for yourself but everyone else in your life. It will be life-changing but only if you read and implement it.

Huge disappointment!
Reviewed in the United States on 26 May 2020Verified Purchase
I have heard Jim on several podcasts and was very interested to hear a more thorough explanation of his methodologies in his book. Unfortunately, that is not what his book is. What I do now know is that apparently his website and online courses are where these detailed explanations lie. I guess it is my fault really. He makes some very impressive claims on the benefits his methodologies provide. I was seemingly foolish to expect he would offer those kind of secrets up in a twenty dollar book. Obviously the only way to get something like that is through his $500 plus courses. I apologize for my naivety.
This is mostly a sales pitch for his online courses with a few unoriginal tips pilfered from long-standing thinking on brain health and function.

Nothing new.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 June 2020Verified Purchase
Nothing new if you have read something else before on the matter. A big collection of references to other papers and authors plus some exercises that once again, you already know of them if this is not your first practical book, like the pomodoro technique for focusing. Other stories like the baby elephant chained to a pole that lost his will as he grew up and stopped fighting... I read it like three other times elsewhere.
When you read the reviews, many are in this same line but still give it 4 to 5 stars rating, which could be misleading for the casual buyer.
Also, it's highly noticeable that Jim is trying too hard to adapt the book to the current times squeezing female characters everywhere and every time he has a chance. Nothing wrong with that as long as those names add some value, but I see it as a poor (pity) attempt to be politically correct. I would have loved if he elaborated on Oprah's, Halle Berry's, Marie Curie's, Amelia Earhart's, Coco Chanel's or Isabella of Castile's lives among others but nothing, he just mentioned names and stories to check the boxes.

Reviewed in Germany on 21 May 2020Verified Purchase
I heard so much about Jim Kwik and was so excited to start reading this book. But if you read about personal development on a regular basis, there is not much to learn out of this book. No new methods about learning or speed reading except what you would commonly find on the internet. I was expecting so much and could only find very very few interesting and useful tips. This is very very disappointing. this was a waste of time. The book is nothing else but a sales pitch for online training.
