Product Description

Internationally acclaimed, New York Times and USA TODAY Bestselling author of Western, Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance brings another adventure filled with action, suspense, and a love worth fighting for.
Sometimes life begins after you die. A least it has for Lily O’Donnell. Lily O’Donnell had always wanted to find a love as beautiful as her parents had. When her father suspiciously dies in an accident and her mother is brutally raped and murdered Lily has to fight for her life. When she is trapped by the man who murdered both her parents and threatens to do to her what he did to her mother Lily feels she has only one choice to avoid a fate worse than death.
Reborn to help others, Lily reappears time after time to help families in need only to die again once the families no longer need her. Things change when Maggie Cunnings finally has enough of her three nephews’ attitudes. Wanting to go home to sunny Florida and leave the frigid winters of Wyoming behind, Maggie prays for a little help in teaching the Cunnings’ brothers how to live and love again. The Cunnings’ men aren’t the easiest to get along with. They’ve gone through six housekeepers in as many months. When Maggie hires Lily to be their new housekeeper sparks fly as the brothers and Lily learn that living and loving sometimes comes with no guarantees.
When a madman targets Lily believing she has the knowledge to make him an immortal the men have to come together as a family to help save the woman they love. Will they be able to save her and make her theirs or will she once again be taken away?

Warning: Three hot cowboys meet one angel that might be too hot to handle.

1.0 out of 5 stars just unforgivably BAD 28 July 2013

An awful, rushed, careless cowboy imitation of The Clans of Kalquor, a much better series.
The brothers practically jumped on her at first sight, groping and dominating her within hours without any consideration to her feelings at all. They take her virginity without even slowing down or preparing her, *all* of her virginity. They find out how old she was, almost a hundred years ago, and *gasp* she's suddenly jailbait. "Oh ick, we don't want you any more, and we don't care about your safety either"
There was nothing redeemable about this book at all. I read almost everything else by this author and loved it all. That makes this one just that much more a slap in the face.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Story, Beautiful Premise 20 July 2012

I have become a fan - having said that; you have to be a fan who is willing to tolerate typos and inappropriately defined words and wrong tenses. In spite of that, I think Ms. Smith is a really talented writer - she will become a talented author when her editing is better. I'm willing to help and its not my background!

This story is a redemption story, Lily is a traveling soul; she comes when she is needed helps the people she works for, solve their problems and them returns to the hereafter. The brothers need help, they work hard, one of them has a problem with PTSD and while the other two love him and want to help, they have a ranch to run and they don't know how to handle him, Lily does! This is not a long read and yes, it has erotic content. I think Ms. Smith handles that really well.

I loved the story, the premise and the resolution - while improbable it was wonderful and very romantic. That's why I read romantic fiction. I don't take off for the editing and so I think this deserves 5 stars - its really different from anything else I've read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Awesome!!! 23 July 2014

Amazingly romantic, I loved it!!
Lily and her cowboys was a story of love and redemption. Lily was as one reviewer said a traveling soul and would "show up" where she was needed.
Ethan, Caleb and Allen brothers each battling their own issues while trying not to get in each others way. Then Lily is hired as their housekeeper and well sparks fly.
I laughed, I cried (boy did I cry) and the love scenes well *blush* yeah smoking hot. While I have read other reviews I would just like to say that this is romance/paranormal fiction or whatever genre you would place it in. That is why I read to get away from the reality that is my life at least for a little while. Where things that are impossible can be possible were good trumps evil and love always wins. Where there is ALWAYS a HEA. Well done Ms.Susan.

I enjoyed this book and like to return to it when I need a sweet romance story to relax with. Caleb, Ethan, and Allen are brothers who run their family ranch, but have lost their sense of family especially since Allen came back from the military wounded and trying to drink his nightmares away. Lily died in 1919, but returns to help out people who need her and disappears when her work is done. This time she returns to be a housekeeper and cook for the three brothers and to heal and bring together the brothers as a family again. The only thing that had me feeling uneasy is when the brothers first meet her, all they can think about is having sex with her. She was 17 years old when she died and having three big men lusting after her living in the same house feels threatening even though Lily stands up to them and handles herself well. I didn't like that they gave her the silent treatment when she first rebuffed their advances which isolates her. What tempers this situation is just how much all three brothers have fallen in love, not lust, with her and how their relationship brings them all closer together. The brothers would never hurt Lily and I like the way the brothers treat Lily and show how much she means to them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not believable 5 September 2014

This book contained spelling and grammar errors, few enough that I probably could have ignored it if it hadn't been for the actual plot of the book.
The basic plot is kind of interesting, but the female character died just before her 18th birthday in 1919, while having no romantic interests at the time... she reappears at various times throughout the last almost hundred years before arriving on this ranch with three adult brothers. They decide to seduce their new housekeeper and keep her forever.
And this not yet 18-year-old from 1919 doesn't even blink. Even though she likely has limited knowledge of what sex is, her concern is that they'll fall in love with her and she'll leave because she always leaves. Nothing at all about how she is torn between her idea of what a wholesome, godly relationship should be and what these brothers want for her. The author needed to make them work for this relationship more than they did. As the sex scenes had a large part of the book, this really bothered me. She has her first kiss and about a week later, she's having sex with three brothers. I don't think so.
Also, when she sees a picture of two men and a woman, her thought was "oh, they have two dads" rather than "Oh, must be a dad, and uncle and aunt or something."
