About the Author
Adriana Locke is a USA Today bestselling author who lives and breathes books. After years of slightly obsessive relationships with the flawed bad boys created by other authors, Adriana created her own with such series as Dogwood Lane, The Gibson Boys, and The Landry Family.
She resides in the Midwest with her husband, sons, two dogs, two cats, and a bird. She spends a large amount of time playing with her kids, drinking coffee, and cooking. You can find her outside if the weather’s nice, and there’s always a piece of candy in her pocket.
Besides cinnamon gummy bears, boxing, and random quotes, her next favorite thing is chatting with readers. She’d love to hear from you! Visit the author at www.adrianalocke.com.

It's a story of discovering who you are and whats most important in life and 'chasing the sun'. I loved this book it was sweet and funny, and it was adorable and I had a smile on my face the whole time.
But like a few other reviewers, I found the main characters lacking a bit of spark/depth and it was all a bit predictable.
For me, I found a few key parts of the storyline a bit unbelievable even for a romance novel, i.e the reasons for getting married and falling so in love in effectively a week that you’d throw away your lifelong dream.
I didn’t connect with Sophie, it would have been nice to see her have a bit more backbone and show a bit more give and take.
About 2/3’s in, I just kept listening to to effectively finish the book even though I wasn’t really connected with the characters/storyline anymore.
Holden is a city boy who spent his childhood summers in Honey Creek the town of his mother’s birth and has returned to help out in his grandfather’s veterinary practice. Sophie loves everything about Honey Creek and is doing her best to keep the bed and breakfast she inherited from her Grandmother up and running, but she is desperately in need of a cash infusion. This pair agree to a marriage of convenience to help each other out and along the way their true feelings shine through.
Their banter is fun and flirtatious and sure to keep you enthralled, and the chemistry between this pair is undeniable.
Overall Like You Love Me is a heartwarming story with strong themes of family, friendship, community and belonging.
This story has equal parts heat, heart and humor and side characters I look forward to getting to know more in future additions to the series.
❤ Small town romance
❤ Friends to lovers
❤ Fake marriage
❤ Childhood friends
❤ Slow burn
Holden and Sophie were just lovely together, even as friends you could just tell they had the best relationship. So open and easy going with each other, there was a lot of fun and laughter.
Loved Pap and loved the relationship he had with Holden, my papa was my best friend so this was lovely to see.
Loved all the characters in the book and loved the little town, but then Small town romances are my thing.
As always the writing by Adriana was amazing, she never disappoints even though I seem to be in a reading slump I still loved this.
Go grab this sweet book if you haven't already.
Adriana Locke is fabulous at the small town romance novels, and she definitely proves it with Holden & Sophie’s book. A truly magnificent slow burn story that had me positively enthralled from start to finish. And with small town romances you usually find that some of the minor characters add so much to the storyline that you can’t help but want to see them with their own story in the future.
Now I think I know who the next story will feature and truthfully I cannot wait to read it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Holden and Sophie are Summer best friends, they spent hours together and now that he is back to help his grandfather he comes face to face with her. Nothing has changed and when an opportunity presents itself that will be beneficial to both sides they jump at the chance.
Locke knows how to write a small town romance 2nd chance at love story; I look forward to what’s up next in the series.

Going to keep this one short and sweet, enjoyed the book and recommend!

Childhood friends Holden and Sophie haven't seen each for several years until Holden returns to Honey Creek to help his Pap, the town vet out, it's just a passing visit for Holden though as he is waiting on a call that he hopes will map out his future.
After her Grandma passes Sophie took over the running of Honey Creek B&B, Honey Creek is home for Sophie it's where her Sister and Brother live, it's the only place she has ever wanted to live but the B&B is struggling she needs an injection of cash quickly if she is going to save it.
Holden needs to impress his potential new employers, they are all about family which of course leads him to say he's married! So who does he turn to but his childhood bff, I mean they only need to convince his potential new boss and then they can go their separate ways. Sounds like a good plan, right?
Another amazing story from one of my favourite authors! It was perfection!
Sophie and Holden have known each other since they were kids, they were married under a tree when they were 10 with push pop rings but life changes as you get older and they drifted apart.
When Holden comes back to Honey Creek to help out his Grandfather they reconnect but when he suggests something to help them both out Sophie thinks he is crazy.
What will happen when Holden gets what he has always dreamed of but realised it might not actually be what he wants?
Holden was gorgeous and charming but he wasn’t arrogant, the slight uncertainty he showed gave him great depth. Sophie was strong and independent but not rude or annoying you made it impossible for us not to fall in love with her and really want her to succeed just as if she was our own best friend or sister.
Pap and Dottie, Liv and Jobe where all great characters who added their own bit to the story. I wait (im)patiently for more Honey Creek books x
On the first day, his childhood best friend, Sophie, pops in to see him. It’s been ten years since he was last in town and they’ve both done their fair share of growing up. She’s now running the B&B she inherited from her grandmother, so he rents a room from her whilst they catch up.
It turns out that they are both faced with stumbling blocks in their careers, and Holden proposes (quite literally) a solution. Holden needs a wife to impress the CEO of the company he wants to work for, and Sophie needs money to pay off the tax debt on the B&B. He will pay her tax bill if she becomes his real pretend wife until the interviews and vetting process are over. But of course things aren’t ever that easy.
This book was so damn cute! Holden is sweet, chivalrous, and charming. Sophie is feisty, caring, and funny. Their chemistry is palpable and I genuinely got choked up at the breakup part!
A light and lovely read.
Sophie and Holden have been friends for years though they haven’t seen one another for some time and their lives have taken very different paths but suddenly they both need help and who better than their childhood friend to help them out of a bind!!!
I adored this pair together. Yeah, you knew there was an end game for Holden and that would see him move on again but I couldn’t help but hope that things would work out for the couple.
Sophie was awesome. She knew how she felt about her friend but she also knew what she had to do to make him happy.... even if it broke her heart (and mine!!)
Adriana Locke is a firm favourite of mine and I loved this trip to Honey Creek that she gave us!!!!!
