Depression is so prevalent and having experienced it myself I was curious to find out what this author had to say ... but what I experienced was an amazing tool to guide yourself through the darkness of depression into freedom! Each chapter was filled with relevant research, discussion and "solution" processes. It is, perhaps, a controversial perspective and yet so powerful and liberating! Wow! Just fantastic! Thank you!

It’s perhaps a sign of our times that so many people are struggling with depression. This is so much more than a book: it's a precious invitation, a generous guide, and a transformational journey in itself. Kevin and Brandon intimately share the gifts of their own experience and years of working with people to create this transformational kit of tools - to understand what depression really is and what causes it; to examine the ways we manipulate and avoid our own emotions; the strategies and beliefs that shape our personal ‘stories’ and perceptions of life; effective ways we can release the related fears, and potent alternatives to wrestling with unwanted emotions. The guided introspections and scripts can be revisited again and again, each time offering new insights and awareness. There’s important considerations for making supportive lifestyle choices and great material on discovering your life’s purpose. If you or a loved one is struggling with depression, this book can help you find the light you are longing for, right in the heart of the darkness.
