Product Description

With the novelette “Blue Light,” the classic work of erotic author Aaron Travis at last arrives in Kindle editions.

When Bill Gray moves into a big Victorian house in Houston, he finds himself fascinated by his muscular, long-haired landlord, Michael. Something mysterious is going on in Michael’s room on the top floor. Bill, a sexual dominant, looks forward to stripping Michael of all his secrets. But when the two men finally connect, it’s Michael who takes charge, subjecting Bill to an experience unlike anything he could have imagined.

Susie Bright: “Perhaps the most fantastic supernatural erotic thriller ever written!”

Marcy Sheiner, San Francisco Bay Guardian: “ ‘Blue Light’ is a story I will remember for the rest of my life: it glues the impossible and the plausible together through the invocation of intense sexual energy.”

Michael Bronski, The Guide (Boston): “In ‘Blue Light’— a story which has become a classic—Travis creates a contemporary supernatural masterpiece as frightening as anything H.P. Lovecraft or Stephen King ever wrote. The underlying horror of the story is not what happens to the narrator...but our own fears of losing control of our sexuality.”

Curious Affairs of Athelton Bartelby: “A paranormal, nearly epic erotic tale of submission, domination, and sexual witchcraft. I was breathless nearly the entire way through it, as the story built, as the psychologies of its main characters became more clearly defined and pulled me into them, and, of course, as the epic evening of sex unfolded in a Texas attic between two muscular doms, as one forces the other to submit to him with a variety of...arguably quite disturbing tricks. It was, and is, precisely what I think good erotica is, i.e., a story that not only makes its readers turned on...but, through its evocative use of language and seductive creation of fantasy, of pushing that fantasy to its very limits.”

5.0 out of 5 stars Perverse Magic 18 February 2012

This is re introducing a classic to new eyes. Creative, original, hypnotic, extremely hot and really scarey. It will stick in your head. I remembered this from reading it about 10 years ago. Ever since then Aaron Travis was a name I followed. He writes "one handed reads" but with passion, imagination and kink edging on abuse and going over the edge at times. But it is fantasy and twisted fantasy can be quite hot in the minds eye even if I would never go there in reality.

Blue Light happens to be one of Aaron Travis scariest stories where a young top gets WAY more than he bargained for. After pursuing a mysterious hunk, he finally lands him, gets into a scene (BDSM) and quickly loses control of the scene in ways he never imagined possible.

If you like this one, Kudzu is another favorite. It is scary and perverse because it really could happen. Kudzu and Other Stories (The Aaron Travis Erotic Library)

His other stories range from a youth indentured to a sadistic cowboy Wild West (The Aaron Travis Erotic Library) a sadistic mobster and a hotel busman Kip (The Aaron Travis Erotic Library) or enslaved roman gladiators suffer at their masters whim Slaves of the Empire (The Aaron Travis Erotic Library)

These are not romances written by women for women. They are unabashedly kinky and leaning towards the sadistic. But if that is your thing they are really hot. Aaron Travis' writing is tight, well edited and quickly draws you into a vivid scene.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring 7 February 2013

It is mildly disturbing and boring. Well written, but I don't like his crude style, and it is really short.
4.0 out of 5 stars Scary, creepy, sexy, scary 4.75 stars 29 March 2013

One of the scariest books I've ever read. Unnerving, hair-raising, hot, and creepy (to me) because I currently live in Houston. It's short and only $.99 but I'd have been willing to pay more and not felt ripped off, it's that good. So many .99 books are not worth the bandwidth required to download. This is not one of them.

Story was ok. I downloaded it based on some comparing it to HPLovecraft or early S King. I did not find that to be the case ... but it was an interesting concept. I guess I wanted it to be darker and more sinister. For me - it just barely scratched the surface.
