Product Description

Anna has escaped from Devin. Now she must learn what it is to live without a Master. Yet Devin will not let her go so easily; his power depends on what he takes from her.

Will Anna's freedom last? Can she even learn to live as a free woman? Is Devin’s power too great for her to escape?

There is a subculture within our own world that you’ve only heard whispers of. The conspiracy theorists wish they knew Anna’s story. What the conspiracy theorists think they know is only disinformation, put out there to keep them from the real story.

***NOTE***
This is not a stand-alone novel. This is the final of five novels that tell Anna’s story.

***WARNING***
This book is for grownups. This book is not for people who are easily offended, get nightmares easily, or have difficulty reading books about tough subjects. I do not glorify bad things, but bad things do happen to my poor characters. This is not your typical love story. My heroine does not fall in love and live happily ever after... at least not like the typical heroine. There is a happily ever after, but it is a long, painful journey to that end.
This book will likely offend you. This book might make you cry; it might make you throw up. It is a dark book. As my friend, Heidi, said, “It’s dark. It gets darker. It gets even darker, and then it gets even more darker. And then, just when you think it can’t get any darker, it does.”
But, don’t worry. I take you to the deep end gradually. ;)
There are many sexual situations in this series of books. People die. People get hurt. Things aren’t always truly the way they appear. The antagonist isn’t just a bad guy; he’s EVIL. My heroine’s worldview is skewed; things that may appall you are perfectly normal to her.
Any violence in this book is non-gratuitous and crucial to the plot and character development.
Do not read this if you are under the age of consent in your country. Do not get angry if the subject or actual book upsets you. If you're reading this, you've been warned.

WOW! Last part of Anna's story. It's been such a wild, crazy journey it feels sad to reach the end.
I'm going to do this review in two parts. (Some bizarre new thing of mine)
First part is the short and sweet version, for those who aren't too keen on long reviews. Then I'll go in to more detail in the second part.

Short Version:

Incredible! This final part of Anna's story was always going to be bittersweet. I was dying to know how it all ended but also didn't want it to end. So I didn't want to rush it.
I needed to know that Devin would get what he was due, whether Alex would rise from the dead, and whether poor Anna would get her happy ever after. All these things and many, many more were resolved. Emerged is like a book full of explanations. Any confusion over the last couple of books, is fully explained in this final part. I actually felt the clearest I've ever felt, after reading a Life of Anna book.
The writing is, as it always is, completely addictive. I was dragged fully in to the story, and left unable to actually comprehend what is going on in the world around me.
I would say this final part, was perhaps not quite as dark as the other books in the series, but that's not a bad thing. I felt like this whole final book, was like a conclusion to so many mysteries and confusion.
Anyway, perfectly written and concluded. Highly recommended to fans of this series. I feel totally sad that it's come to an end, but I'm also excited to see what is coming next!!
5 Huge Stars!!

Longer Version.

Emerged is part 5 in The life of Anna, if you have rocked up to this book without reading the other 4 parts first, you will be utterly lost. Go back to the first one.

I loved this final chapter, in The Life of Anna.

Emerged starts where Ensnared ended Anna escaped from Devin she tries to get on with her life while others are protecting her she gets back to her dancing and meets Hugo who she falls for things start to happen she starts going out and enjoying life then a guy they call "Mystery European" called Mr J wants her she starts to spend her days thinking about him he leaves her pink roses but is he all that he seems he is gentle with Anna she never sees him as she is blindfolded. Every time she visits him then

When he is revealed how will Anna react? Read to find out ( he he )

I hate Devin and that has never changed since book 1 I am glad he gets his in this book

I love Anna's fiery side in this book and her fighting back at some points I loved a certain part where she scared a certain person that they were begging for her to stop he he

Wow talk about a page turner. I was hooked on this series from the first page of the first book. I have never read a book with such a strong warning, and it was required, there was a lot of very dark aspects to the series, but I just couldn't get enough. There were twists and turns all throughout, but it all tied in at the end. The only problem I have is its finished, I loved it.

HASH(0xb345f438) out of 5 stars love Life of Anna 5 April 2015
By Alyssa Garcia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
What to say about this book other than the fact that it's amazing. This entire series is amazing.
The Life of Anna follows Anna through her very rough life from the age of 12. Most of the things she goes through are terrifying and things we would find appalling. They are absolutely normal to her,
In this final installment of LoA we see her grow into who she is supposed to be.
Marissa tells us in the warning section of the series that there is a happily ever after and after what Anna has gone through she deserves it. And she gets it.
I have never had a series make me feel so hopeless though it then give me peace and happiness at the end. Marissa does that. She is a genius with the way she wrote this series. I expected great things from this last book and she delivered them and more!
Sorry for all the rambling. I finished a couple of hours ago and I'm still processing, but for me this entire series gets 10 starts, yes I said TEN stars!

Please keep writing Marissa!

HASH(0xb345f93c) out of 5 stars Best series ever 23 April 2015
By T London - Published on Amazon.com

The conclusion is here and I am rather sad that we have to end this story. From book one I was addicted to this series. I don’t think there is a single aspect or emotion created in dark fiction that Marissa didn’t utilize in her series. Throughout the life of Anna, I continued to need more and now that it is over, I still want more.

We start this final book with Anna as a free woman, but soon things will change. As she takes each step to reclaim her freedom and life, outside forces are working at limiting her in what she can do. It was nice to see her fight back now, show her attitude that had been beaten out of her, but maybe this wasn’t the best time to put her foot down. She will continue her dancing and being with those who are protecting her but adjusting to life without Devin and Alex will be strange for her. She will meet a new man, Hugo, who would be a perfect man, IF she didn’t have obligations from the role she carries with Alex’s family.

This book wasn’t the normal dark and evil theme that we had come to expect, but I felt the emotional intensity was raised with this one. I have to be very careful in how I say this as to not spoil the story for you but there was one thing I had been hoping for in the last two books. While there were signs that the ending would be as I had hoped for and many times I even predicted this event would happen, with Marissa’s brilliance in creating this story, I was still shocked at the end. It was like you knew it was coming, you can almost see it there, but then when it does occur you are taken by surprise that it really happened. I am beyond amazement with the talent of this new author. She didn’t quietly make an entrance into the Indie world; she took us by storm with this series.

You will get an actual conclusion to this story; there are no loose ends that leave you hanging or lingering questions that will haunt you for the rest of your days. Many times I wondered how she was going to tie this all together and give us our closure and I found she did it perfectly. Anna will deal with anger, rage, jealousy, the truth and discover the lies she had been told. She will seek the revenge and she will taste victory in some cases. Anna started out as a young innocent child when we began this journey. She will end as a strong woman who has survived life’s worst, beyond worst and still stands to tell her story. I loved every single book in this collection and I can hardly wait to see what Marissa has in store for us in the future.

HASH(0xb345fc30) out of 5 stars Thank heavens! 15 November 2015
By Jane12 - Published on Amazon.com
Oh THANK GOD! After writing a review in a heat of anger and passion over the other books, that was rather scathing I admit. I'm so happy I finished the series. Though the other books were tormenting and beyond awful in their context I'm glad I finished this series. As the ending left me with a very satisfied smile on my face. These books were hard to read and I ended up skimming over parts of Anna's abuse as I found it too intense. But the final chapters in this one were great. Alex is just so beautiful and Anna just so brave. My final thought is YAY!!!

HASH(0xb345fbe8) out of 5 stars one helluva journey! 5 April 2015

The day I started Enslaved, book 1 in the life of Anna series I was hooked. Marissa Honeycutt drew me in with every delicious word and had me literally begging for more. The moment I started reading I was hooked. Never and I do mean NEVER have I been so emotionally tied to a book. Never has a character been able to make me go through and feel what they are feeling. The heartbreak and joy, the pain and the pleasure, the innocence and the evil. I never wanted it to end. The moment I finished Emerged I felt like I couldn't breathe for a second. The last words literally took my breath away! That takes talent! You are seriously one of a kind Marissa Honeycutt and I honestly can't wait to see what you do next!! Thank you for giving us Anna's story and making us think outside the box and rewriting the definition of DARK! Thank you!

HASH(0xb345fbc4) out of 5 stars Amazingly, horrifyingly brilliant. 17 October 2015

I finished reading this series about 3 weeks ago. I have had such a hangover from this series that I found it impossible to get interested in any other story for about a full week after completion. I am horrible at writing reviews but I couldn't not write something for this series because it is the BEST series I have ever read and extremely well written and deserves as many reviews as possible.

Anna's life takes a tragic turn at 12 years old when both her parents die in a car crash. Anna is left in the care of family friends Devin and Jack, Jack being her guardian. For the next 4 years Anna is treated like a normal, loved little girl. On her 16th birthday Anna's world is turned upside down yet again. Her sweet very loving guardians turn on her as if a switch has been flipped and, start treating Anna like the slave she is meant to be. And one mans plans for Anna are so dark and sinister that you HAVE to read the series to believe it.

Anna is repeatedly raped, tortured and abused throughout this series. If you are squeamish, easily offended or faint of heart, I would advise against reading the LOA. However, I myself, could not put the books down. There were parts that I had to walk away from because I literally could not believe what I was reading and they were THAT graphic. The emotions that were brought out of me while reading LOA were many. Shock, tears of horror, tears of happiness and flat out rage. This story will linger in your mind long after completion. It has for me.

It does not matter what I write here in my review, nothing I say ( or forget to say) can do this Author and this series justice. You have to read LOA for yourselves. You'll understand then. :). If I could give this series 10 stars I would. On a side note I would like to say that this is one of the cleanest books I have read from an indie author. The editing was superb and very few spelling errors. I may stink at writing reviews but, I have an eye for spelling errors while reading and most drive me bananas! Lol :D
