This one of my favourite MC series but i was a little hesitant to start Lip and Cherry's story. I never really took to Lip and started the book determined to not like him. Cherry, i loved from the previous books. When a young naive Lindsay (Cherry) makes a mistake, it will change her life forever. In danger she takes off in her car doing her best to stay alive, which is where Lip finds her. With an instant sexual chemistry between them Lip soon wears her down. Not knowing her past he comes on strong, even giving her the name Cherry. But the path of true love never runs smoothly and it's not long before Lip ends up in prison. Six years later and Lip returns a different man. He's no longer the sweet, lovable Lip from years before. I really struggled with Lips character. He is complex and complicated and so are my feelings about him. He's strong, dominant, sweet at times and sexy as f***, not to mention unbelievably loyal to his brothers and the club. There's a lot of things i loved about Lip but there's also parts i didn't. He's short tempered, jealous and keeping secrets. Of course so is Cherry but knowing her reasons why, made me sympathise more with her. Strong, sassy and with a take no crap attitude, you can't help but like her. What happens when the secrets and lies they've both been keeping are out in the open? Can they forgive and forget? Read this book and find out. You won't be disappointed. I have to point out that MN Forgy did, in the end, make me absolutely adore Lip. She dragged me kicking and screaming all the way but she did it in the end (which was no easy feat). I love this authors work. Her books suck me into The Devils Dust world. With each book in this series i become just a little more obsessed. Now the wait for the next book begins.

I have read every single Devil’s Dust book and this is by far the BEST one yet!!! I fell head over heals for Cherry and Lip. The title of this book is perfect because lies are all around these two. Both are holding back things neither could have ever imagined. But the chemistry between these two is absolutely mind blowing. But what happens why the lies come out? Can love really hold them together or are the lies just too much?

Lindsey AKA Cherry did not have the best life growing up. She grew up with an abusive father and she lived on the wrong side of the tracks. But one night changes her life forever. It’s not safe for her anymore so she runs and when she does she runs right smack into Lip. He changes her world forever but Cherry is holding a HUGE secret that she knows could change her relationship with Lip before it even gets started.

Lip… HOLY SEX ON A STICK!!!! I fell completely in love with Lip from the time he opened his mouth. Lip is fighting his feelings for Cherry from day one. He wants her to be like all the other girls but she isn’t. He saves her from her past but maybe Cherry is there to save him. But when a run goes wrong Lip is now serving a six-year sentence in jail. I knew something was up when Cherry went to see him for the first time. But she stuck around and has waited on him for six long years. But Lip is a changed man. He is not the sweet loving and caring person she use to know. He is hard and his heart is a block of ice.

So while reading we know Cherry’s secrets from her past even though she hasn’t told anyone but NEVER in a million years did I see LIP’s secret coming. I was SOOOOOO LIVID!!!!!!!!!!! All the feelings I had for him was instantly gone. He was now on my bad side. This is where things get crazy. Lies, deceit, heartache, tears, and me screaming at my kindle. I was honestly scared for a bit and holding my breath for a bit because I had no idea how this book was going to turn around. But once again MN did it and completely blew me away. I can’t wait for the next book!!

M.N. Forgy weaves a tale of deceit, trapping you in deception as she takes us on a road where you are hit with lie after lie!! This story starts off in the past, allowing us to witness the events that brought Cherry and Lip together, before jumping into the present where Lip has returned from a stint in prison.

Cherry is a bit of a wild and free spirit. In the beginning when we first meet her she comes off as her age, young and at times gullible. The story progresses, and she too grows up. She becomes this feisty redhead, with a heart of gold but a temper just as destructive.

Lip is charming, very much so when we are introduced to who he was before he took the fall for one of his brothers, earning himself a patch. After he serves his time he is someone completely different. A monster was released from behind those bars and the Lip we thought we knew is no more.

Lip and Cherry have the kind of love story you can't help but root for. Even when their relationship is at its worst, you are there right with them still cheering them on and standing behind both characters as the heartbreak they feel leaks into your pours.

The Lies Between Us will pull many feelings from within you, the angst alone drowning you in what was real versus what wasn't, the buildup of tension so hot and explosive you can't help but feel as if you two may combust... and it is there M.N. Forgy sits, waiting to throw a twist so unexpected at you that you'll never see it coming. You will question everything, second guess your initial thoughts all while trying to figure out if love can survive lies.

Final Thoughts: The Devil's Dust Series continues to wrap me up so tightly in every single character, story concept, and plot line that I have absolutely no choice in the matter of being swallowed whole by M's originality, depth of the MC bond, and lastly but not least, her writing.
