Product Description

2nd Edition

Want to know what happened that night in the library?
Cirian and Rian had a fight in the library and Rian ends up naked on the desk, on his back, at Cirian's mercy.

Want to know how far things went with ice cream?
A romantic evening by the fire feeding his husband ice cream leads to a lot more than heavy petting for Aiyan and Kaden.

Want to know what was going on when those birds fled?
Travelling hundreds of miles, battling the rebels and then travelling back to House Gaeland will take it out of you. But when Tanis wants something, he takes it. Raven is about to be bent over a tree!

Like the deleted scenes of your favorite movie... I've taken three scenes from Opposites that were cut short and elaborated on the shenanigans that ensued. I also focused more in the beginning on the relationship between Cirian and Rian, to give readers a chance to get to know them and the inner workings of their relationship a little better.

The Library is a novella in the Opposites series, the series must be read in order. It is an adult, dystopian majorly M/M series that encompasses all manners of relationships (including M/F and F/F). In this world logic is irrelevant, love is key, and things get broken—just ask Aiyan and Kaden.

Other books in the series and reading order...
Opposites - book 1
The Library - book 1.5
Appearances - book 2
The Cellar - book 2.5
Snapped - book 3 coming January 2017

4.0 out of 5 stars Smut everywhere! 30 December 2013

I feel as though I need to say this now, if you haven’t read Opposites, you will be kinda confused when it comes to this book! Now if you are looking to read a smutty filled book? Then keep on reading because you will enjoy it!
I was actually shocked once I got into the story because we learned a lot of Cirian and Rian’s relationship, and how they found each other. I thought it was really great of TM to add that because they do play such a big role in the Opposites book, this way we get to find out more!
I do think that since this is a novella, that TM did a great job of giving enough information to keep you interested in what was going on. And the best part? Even though it was smut filled, it wasn’t just about that! There was a “real” story happening in the background that you could really get into the story.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and I can’t wait to see what else TM has in store for us in the future!
5.0 out of 5 stars The Library Amazing book! Loved it!!!! 22 December 2013

This beautifully written book called The Library (An Opposites Novella) by T.M. Smith

Once I started reading this book I was completely enthralled with this amazing story! The hot and very detailed sex scene right off the bat was incredible! The authors’ very unique story that she is writing about is a world of Global Warning Ignition. This new world where Gay/Lesbians are considered the norm and being straight is considered the outcast way of living. It’s a rebuilt society and has redefined the parameters of breeding to make sure that every child is homosexual. This is a society that I would love to be a part of. This story gave a great twist on how the world perceives sexuality.

Cirian is the only child of the Ambassadors to The House of Gaeland. Kiernan and Gabriel, his fathers, have been grooming Cirian to take over his father’s position. Rian has always been in love with Cirian and has no political goals, he only desires to be the husband of Cirian and stand beside him. The love these two men share is the most beautiful love I have ever witnessed. The way Cirian protects and cherishes Rian melted my heart right away; he will never let anything or anyone even try to hurt Rian. I truly felt that the author brought these men's love alive and the way she wrote about their life and sexual relationship was beautifully and well written. I felt like I knew these guys and I wanted to know everything else about them and especially if they will be together forever.

The section about ice cream was so romantic and very sexually explicit which I loved reading. I will never think of ice cream the same way again without thinking of these hot teenagers Kaden and Aiyan who can't keep their hands off each other. You will love reading about their relationship and how they try everything to be with each other. I love these guys!

Raven and Tanis you will love reading about as they have the most complicated relationship and you will be rooting for them to make it and make sure that they end up together and happy.

The way T.M. Smith writes and explores this new type of world is simply riveting and I for one cannot get enough of it. The characters are so sexy and appealing and you want more and more of those high octane sex scenes. I completely loved this book and the only problem I had with it, was that it wasn't long enough; I just wanted it to go on forever.

Trust me you will hate to put this book down as you will be thinking of these incredible characters for months to come. I completely recommend this book The Library in so many ways and I classify it as a MUST READ!

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved the return trip to the world of Opposites 25 December 2013

I truly enjoyed this book for the simple fact that it elaborated on scenes from the book of Opposites that left you wondering what really happened and because of Cirian and Rian. You should read Opposites before reading this book so that you have a better understanding of the characters and background of the storyline.

Through this story we are given more insight into some of the smoking hot scenes between some of the male couples in the world of Opposites. After reading this you will never see ice cream in quite the same way. Wow Kaden and Aiyan.

Cirian and Rian took my breath away with their passion and love for one another. Getting a glimpse at their memories and what is some special moments between them was awesomesauce. I think they are one of my favorite couples after reading this novella.

I can't wait to read more from T.M. Smith and look forward to returning to the world of Opposites in 2014. Keep up the great work. I recommend this to anyone who likes dystopian with M/M and F/F.

If you haven't read The Opposites, I would recommend that before reading this.
I loved that in The Library, we get to see some more in depth scenes from The Opposites. You learn back story and history that you would never have imagined!
I would love to see more from any of these characters! Raven and Tanis have become a couple to root for in my mind!
I was able to read this in one day, as a side note, I do read fast, and reading is basically my unpaid job! I wasn't given a copy of these books, I purchased them after seeing a lot of buzz about them on social media!
Highly recommended reading!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Library - Oh so sexy! 30 December 2013
By Night Owl - Published on

I need to start off this review by saying that you really need to pick up a copy of Opposites before you read The Library. Think of the Library as if it were an extended DVD – there are all those great scenes that were either cut or shortened in the original, but now you get to experience them! And when we’re talking sex scenes – well, those can never be long enough for me. And Opposites is only 99 cents - well worth the price.

I love dystopian novels and the intricate world that author TM Smith created in Opposites is what makes the story so interesting. The Library (And Opposites) takes place in 2300 AD where all male children are born gay, and all female children are born lesbians. In 2081 there was a fallout from Global Warming, and things were manipulated to keep injudicious breeding from continuing to destroy the human race. Smith has also added in some very interesting details regarding the politics, societal conventions, and even a new way to lubricate prior to sex that would put KY to shame!

Of the scenes and characters taken from Opposites that were highlighted in The Library, I would have to say that Cirian and Rian were my hands-down favorites. I love that we get more of their backstory – especially their wedding day – and the smoking hot sex was excellent as well. There’s something so sweet about their chemistry and I actually would love to get an entire novella just on them.

There’s also an incredibly scorching scene – or icy, depending on how you look at it – that involves Aiyan and Kaden and a bowl of ice cream. I’m all about food play, so I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Another couple that I would love to read more about in the future is Tanis and Raven. I really dig the D/s aspect of their relationship and I think they could have a whole separate story as well. Better get typing TM Smith!

One final thing that may seem unimportant to some, but is a huge turn-on or off for me depending, is character’s names. In this case, I really love all of the character’s names – I felt as though I could get a sense of who they were from that alone - and that added to my overall enjoyment of the story. You can tell Smith put in a lot of care and consideration to these types of details.

If you like imaginative, dystopian world building and hot man-on-man action, I would definitely recommend the Opposites world of which The Library is a part.
