This shouldn't be happening again…

Amber Scott thought her screaming nightmares would end now that her stalker is locked up and awaiting trial. But they return when her slam-dunk case starts to fall apart. Explicit letters she allegedly wrote surface, suggesting she was the mastermind behind her assault, a willing victim.

Amber only feels safe in the arms of her boyfriend Marcus, the one person she can lean on. Until damning evidence from Marcus's past collides with the case and the media circus drags them both down. To protect Amber's reputation, Marcus has only one option: end their relationship. He won't risk further damage to her case, even if it means breaking her heart.

Amber has to find the strength to step into the spotlight and bring awareness to victims' rights before she's convicted in the court of public opinion. And she's really not sure what's worse—that her kidnapper could walk free, or that the seemingly endless attention and speculation will drive Marcus away permanently…

See how it all began for Amber and Marcus in Tell Me When.

I enjoyed the first book and looked forward to the conclusion. This book was very slow - it took me 3 days to read (not normal for me) and I ended up skimming. Unfortunately you need to read this book to learn how the trial goes but in terms of Marcus and Amber not much changes. Whilst I liked the premise of the storyline, I felt it was dragged out too much to fill two books and I literally could not wait for it to end. If I had my time over I would have finished after the first book and imagined the rest - it would have been faster!

4.0 out of 5 stars Facing The Truth 5 September 2014
By Jennifer R. Shiels - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This was a really great book. This book was realistic as well which I appreciated and could see happening. Amber and Marcus faced many things in the first book but it's not over. Stress is high in this story since the trial for Paul is coming up. To make matters worse, there are love letters supposedly written by Amber to Paul making it seem that the kidnapping, rape, torture, and the murders of Michael and Trent were Amber's idea. But Marcus is also facing trying to get Alejandro to tell the police what happened to him so his stepfather can finally be put away.

People are cruel and do everything they can to make Amber feel miserable. It doesn't matter that she was the victim but media and people do everything they can to make her feel like she is guilty and poor little Paul is the real victim. This just proves that people don't care about the truth but enjoy just sensationalising things.

Amber has been through way more than most people but she just proves that she is a survivor. She is very strong and she realizes that things might be miserable but in the end the truth will come out.

Marcus is strong as well but scared that he isn't good enough for Amber. He knows now that being in love and in a relationship is way more important and gratifying.

Definitely worth reading.
5.0 out of 5 stars A happy ending 22 August 2016

This was a fun read for part of the book (the end) and suspenseful for the rest. I laughed and cried, swore and clapped throughout this book. Read it, but read the first one beforehand.
5.0 out of 5 stars high on tension and emotion 22 September 2014
By Sharif - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Amber is facing a trial against a stalker who cruelly abused her and killed her loved ones. There are people out there who want to make things even worse for her. They plant lies, forged letters, and fake videos making her look like the guilty party—she wanted to be captured, while her stalker is the one who’s innocent.

Her boyfriend, Marcus, is also dealing with problems. With a stepfather responsible for the death of his brother and the sexual abuse of several boys, Marcus has his own nightmares and demons. He wants to fight back, get those boys to speak up, but they don’t want to. Also, with the media and Amber’s mom after him, he might have to end his relationship with Amber. Meanwhile, she’s the reason he’s been able to heal and turn his life around.

Amber and Marcus make a wonderful couple. All their obstacles were painful to read because the two are meant to be together. That’s a sign of a great book—the tension and emotion have an enormous effect on the reader. I read this via NetGalley, courtesy of the publisher.
4.0 out of 5 stars HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as was the first one. CANNOT be read as a standalone. a beautiful and heart breaking closure to the story 27 May 2016
By UltraMeital - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the second and closing part of Amber and Marcus' story, which started in "Tell me When" (At the moment these are the only ones in the series). This book CANNOT be read as a stand alone.

I gotta say, it started a bit slow and was a bit too angsty for me but as a whole I enjoyed Marcus and Amber's story, seeing them grow, heal and bring themselves a better future, for each separately and together as a couple.

The book starts with them together, we get to see how they interact with one another, their friends and Amber's family it was a way for us to see how they DO work before the mess started. For me, this part (about a third of the book) was a bit redundant. Yet when things started to fall apart I couldn't put the book down. I was hanging from the edge of my seat, can't wait for everything to unfold. I was even quite annoyed for a while, but not in a "bad" way, I just wanted to KNOW what's going on, what's going to happen and how everything would unfold.

Basically the whole mess was "new evidence" that suggest Amber wasn't a victim but the master mind behind the whole "kidnapping", taking advantage of a mentally sick guy - Paul. No matter where Amber and Marcus turn to, there are incriminating evidence against them, and no matter what they say or don't say they look bad publically. Amber is advised not to speak with the press, and so everything that is said about her and Marcus only shows her as a fraud and as their relationship deteriorates (due to unnecessary meddling..) guys start to harass her, seeing her as a "kinky gal" and not a victim. It was more than heart breaking! It was difficult to read and realize something like that could happen to a VICTIM. She went through SO MUCH and it could all be dismissed. I was nauseated by the notion.

But Amber is stronger than anyone can imagine and she shows her strength in everything she does, the things she changes about her life goals and her decisions to help and advice others. She had quite the impact on Marcus on the matter, making him FINALLY deal with what he and his brother went through (and now other teens are going through..) and together they are able to make a difference which was more than beautiful. It wasn't just about Amber getting the justice for what was done to her, it was her and Marcus helping others in any way they can even though it means showing their vulnerable side.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as was the first one (even though I DO have my misgiving about it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Tyhada Reads Review: Let Me Know (Must read series) 9 September 2014
By Christy (Tyhada) - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
My thoughts…

Let Me Know is the continuation of Marcus and Amber’s story. First let me say that it is necessary that you read Tell Me When which is the first book before starting this one.

I had so many feels while reading this book. I became emotionally attached to these characters while reading book one. That attachment only grew stronger when I started reading this one.

The main plot focuses on stalking. It’s not a topic that’s overly done in books which I think made the story more intriguing. I literally couldn’t put either of these books that make up this story down while reading them.

Let Me Know flowed smoothly, and captured and held my attention until the very end. There’s so much going on in this book. Amber is facing an upcoming trial against her stalker who is also a murderer. Marcus is trying hard to get his abuser charged and convicted of his crimes. Like I said. There’s a lot going on.

There’s a strong suspense element to this story. It keeps building and building until about 85ish % of the book and then Boom! all is revealed. When I was getting close to the end I kept thinking “please don’t let this book end in another cliffhanger.” I even DM’d the author on twitter to ask about this. Luckily, things are all wrapped up and I am extremely happy with how things turn out. I had a lot of theories about what was going to happen, but I never did figure it out on my own. That made me love this story all the more.

Overall, I think Ms Lindenblatt did a phenomenal job writing this series. From the intriguing plot, interesting and unique characters, to the overall well written storyline, this series is a must read.

PS: There is going to be a third book!!! It will be Jordan & Chase’s book. *squee* I’m really looking forward to it!!! I loved both of these secondary characters throughout books one and two and always secretly hoped they’d get together.
