Although I believe this book is aimed at TEFL/ESOL I find it a godsend for low ability. I recently moved from a school with very weak pupils in it to a special school and now it gets used even more as time fillers.
Each activity can actually be adapted to suit your surroundings and the needs of that moment - you can extend the actitivities or use them to kickstart a full lesson.
Worth the purchase even if it's used solely as a back-up.

An invaluable resource to any time-poor teacher short on ideas!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 March 2016Verified Purchase
An incredibly useful book that I desperately needed as a newly qualified teacher short on ideas. Many lessons later, I still pull out many activities from this book which have struck a chord with students of all abilities and from a huge variety of countries.
Many thanks for such an excellent resource that I'll continue to use for years to come!

Die üblichen Spiele, die man überall findet
Reviewed in Germany on 26 April 2017Verified Purchase
Also Spiel / Zielgruppe / Thema.

Teaching in China?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 July 2006Verified Purchase
This book is made for those about to teach in China.
Clear ideas that require little or no resources to teach.
It gives you the tools to go beyond whatever (if any) text book you are assigned and get some more enjoyable and effective activities into your classroom.
A fantastic book for when your lesson plan goes horribly wrong, or the dog ate it.

Lessons from Nothing

Good little handbook for on the spot lesson creation or ideas generation. A must for in-the-middle-of-nowhere jobs. Helped me with my portfolio and my lesson planing for my exams.
