Jess is the kind of character I adore: Sloppy, messy, crude and hilarious. Her misadventures and journey to emotional maturity provided many genuine and original laugh out loud moments. The great supporting cast includes a suitably dis-likable villain and range of new friends and loved ones, each with their own entertaining quirks.
If you're drawn to this because you love vintage - Greenwood pays homage respectfully while keeping party girl, hot mess Jess in character.
You'll love this book if you like to giggle at the foolish things women do when they're young and determined to have fun.
