A beautiful, sweet southern love story paired with a dash of football, creating the perfect match to have me falling in love.
“Count memories, not calories.”
I feel like I need to gush over just how genuinely happy this story made me feel.
I couldn’t get the smile off my face while reading and it left me with a hankering for some good home cooking. This friends to lovers romance has the perfect slow buildup of their feelings for each other as Meg has been guarding her heart for years and the the ever flirtatious Jack is not deterred by being put in the friend zone. Sparring back and forth with Meg is like foreplay for Jack, but with the strength of an ox, Meg resists and tells herself over and over again that she will not fall for his charm. Their friendship and genuine love for each felt so real that a few moments had me with tears in my eyes, I loved their journey to their happily ever after.
“Every time I touch her and she touches me, I feel like all is right in the world, feel we belong to each other.”
As with the other two books in this series, I absolutely love how food plays such a fun and delicious role in the stories. With the comfort of southern cooking as Meg so perfectly said “You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach.” If you need a sweet and flirty romance with the perfect amount sports, food and southern living, I definitely recommend this book!
