From the Back Cover
Brooke Lemon has always led the life she wanted, wild adventures--and mistakes--included, something her perfect sister, Mindy, never understood. So when Mindy shows up on Brooke's doorstep in the throes of a breakdown with her three little kids in tow, Brooke's shocked. Wanting to make amends, Brooke agrees to trade places, taking the kids back to Wildstone for a few days so Mindy can pick up the pieces and put herself back together. What Brooke doesn't admit is she's just as broken . . . Also how does one go home after seven years away? It doesn't take long for Brooke to come face-to-face with her past, in the form of one tall, dark, sexy mistake. But Garrett's no longer interested. Only his words don't match his actions, leaving Brooke feeling things she'd shoved deep.
Soon the sisters begin to wonder: Are they lemons in life? In love? All they know is that neither seems to be able to run far enough to outpace her demons. And when secrets surface, they'll have to learn that sometimes the one person who can help you the most is the one you never thought to ask.

It was wonderful getting back to Wildstone, California - even if we are dragged back there, kicking and screaming by our leading lady Brooke.
This is Brooke's tale of going home - when you couldn't get out of there fast enough in the past. As the story progresses, it is easy to see why Brooke never came back, and my heart hurt for her as I was reading.
Some times it is just easier to stay away, right
However, I was also frustrated with her for her reasons of staying away, from distancing herself from her family and friends... and especially Garrett.
Oh boy, how good is Garrett (and where can I get me one?)
I loved Brooke fixing her relationship with her sister Mindy - though gees Mindy got on my nerves at times, I just wanted to shake some sense into her hehe. Her kids are all kinds of awesome and made me laugh out loud at times.
And as a reader, I was the biggest cheerleader for Brooke and Garrett rekindling their fractured relationship - just get it together guys!
I also liked that none of the characters were perfect. I know we read fiction to get away from the real world, but I like characters to have their flaws. Nothing worse to me than sickly sweet perfect characters that are so unbelievable, they become unlikable (this is probably just me though lol)
The Lemon Sisters is an enjoyable, yet at times heartbreaking tale, and I hope we get more of these characters in the future.
This latest book in the Wildestone series by author Jill Shalvis is a read not to be missed. It’s a heartwarming story full of family challenges and relationship turmoil. A few twists and turns keep the pages moving, and Brooke and Mindy were a hoot to read,. Garrett and Linc add more emotion and hilarity right alongside Brooke and Mindy. Each of the character’s dialogue had this reader chuckling as the chapters flowed.
A top pick in reading that is undeniably unputdownable.
