Legendary: Buffy The Vampire Slayer is the newest addition to the Legendary series. In Legendary, a semi-cooperative deck-building game, 1 to 5 players use fan-favorite characters including Buffy, Angel, Willow, and Giles and attempt to stop a Big Bad and their nefarious Schemes. Players win the game if the Big Bad is beaten four times, and lose if the Big Bad is able to complete their Scheme.

I love the Buffy TV show since the 90s when it was aired at 15 years old. Now that I'm older, playing those cards, and getting at those Big Bads, I can see myself remembering the plots of the episodes that I have been watching.
My minor gripe? Where the heck are Kennedy, Chloe, Molly, and others as the Potential Slayers? I can't stand the Felicia Day potential myself though. On the plus? I love WIllow's attack power but I will always have a heart for Buffy, the legendary slayer with a heart of gold for Angel, her only true love.
I love Buffy and this is just perfect. The game mechanics are typical for deck-building games. Board Game Geek (website) has a rules/questions forum that will clarify any issues that come up in play, if you have them.
I think I've played about 1000 times since I bought this in the summer and I am still not bored. Every game is different, every time is different. There are so many combos that you cannot possibly do them all.
I did sleeve the cards (Dragon Shield) because I was playing so much and didn't want to ruin the game. I would add dice to keep track of certain numbers that come up that are part of play, but anyone who buys this game should have dice in their house, so no big deal.
In summary: if you love Buffy and love deck-building, then this is the game for you!
Characters? Amazingly done
