I started writing poetry as a teenager, so a collection of poems written by teenagers intrigued me. This book is WONDERFUL. The poetry is diverse because it is a collection of voices, each individual with their own emotions and experiences that come through in their writing. I loved seeing the different perspectives. I also enjoyed that in the back of the book their is a section that lets each person explain what inspired their writing. When we are unaware of the situation being written of, we are left to our own devices and interpretation, which is one of the beautiful things about poetry. But getting to read what inspired the rawness of each piece was like a bonus for me, because sometimes knowing the real story helps us to identify with the author better or make certain connections we may not have otherwise. This is a beautiful collection that I will be re-reading for years to come.

I was having my house painted and the painters found this prime pack on the side of my house. When I opened the book was sopping wet and moldy. I ordered it over a year ago and didn't notice that I hadn't received it for my daughter who is an avid reader. It is unusable.
