Leave Me Breathless is book 3 in the Ross Siblings series by Cherrie Lynn. The book focuses on the main characters of Seth ‘Ghost’ Warren and Macy Rodgers, two people who are completely different yet have an undeniable attraction. The story delves into the precious night of passion that the characters had with one another and how one night on Valentine’s Day becomes something more.
The story is filled with angst, tender moments and some very steamy scenes as these characters try and figure out their relationship with each other as well as trying to leave parts of their painful pasts behind. I really enjoyed reading about both of these characters. Macy comes across as really uptight but in all reality is just playing it safe after her accident. The same can be said for Ghost who seems to be juggling so much and doesn’t know what to focus on first.
The book is all about growth and we see that as we continue to read about the two main characters. I liked how Macy was honest about her preconceived notions regarding Ghost and Brian and that it was her own insecurities which made her really aloof. The fact that she comes to realise that she can still be herself in a work of Death Metal was reassuring for me as a character and that she stuck to what she wanted rather than being molded into something she wasn’t was also a positive.
Ghost’s character was also really well written. He is one of those strong characters that knows their own mind, even though sometimes he could overshadow his own happiness due to making others happy and not dealing with his past. I especially loved the banter that he had between himself and Brian and how their friendship just worked and came across as real.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, even the moments which made me feel really sad or frustrated with the characters as they did tend to make their relationship a little bit more complicated than it needed to be. The fact that Ghost also had a psych ex-girlfriend also added to the drama levels in this book. This is definitely one romance that you’re going to want to read!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review; all opinions are my own. 😊

I seriously can't get enough of Cherrie Lynn's writing. Rock Me was fantastic and I couldn't put Leave Me Breathless down. I loved reading Macy and Ghost/Seth's story. You could read this book without having read Rock Me but it does give you the backstory of the other characters as well as fill in references made in this book. Once again the story is well written, believable and with many scenes that are almost too hot to handle. Highly recommend any of Cherrie's books!!

I wanna see Casper!

WOW!!!!!! Did I mention, WOW! The third book in The Ross Siblings Series and I have to say probably my favourite. Seth Warren aka Ghost will defiantly stir up a feeling or four whilst you're reading about him and should I mention his pierced....... but jeez Macy Rodgers is one heck of a lucky woman. The story was hot, spicy and very thrilling. As with most books in a series, past characters, you got to catch up and find out what they were up to so Cherrie, thank you for more Brian Ross!! Getting back to the story and away from Casper, it had everything and more that you will need to keep your attention and like me, it will stop you putting down your kindle until you finished (and then you need a cold shower) Ghost and Macys relationship had its ups, downs, complications but also happy times, very happy! Loved the relationship and banter between Ross the boss and Ghost with the most, this added something extra to the story. On a serious not about this series, it does bring home that maybe we should never judge a book by its cover.

Loved these characters!!

These characters are great!! I loved all the people in this book especially the leads Macy and Seth, they are both very believable and the sort of people you know you would like if they were real.
These two had some prior chemistry and they are so obviously drawn together - sparks fly and at first it seems like it may just be a physical thing but keep on reading.
I adored Macy's character, she's direct, straight-talking, no nonsense and fiercly guarding and hiding her inner wild child. Seth calls to her wild child and boy does she answer, when they get together things get primal!! (grrr)
Macy had a riding accident some years previously in which she was very badly injured, it shattered her confidence. Seth is a tatoo artist and rock artist who exudes bad boy attitude, he has some relationship baggage which runs deep.
This is book 2 and follows the story of Macy's friend Candace, I did not read book 1 and still don't think it's necessary to enjoy this book.

Here we are again with the 3rd Cherrie Lynn book in the most wonderful series I have read this year. Leave Me Breathless, this I think has to be my favourite of all the books for my own special reasons but mainly because the characters are both so strong and stubborn at the same time. What do you mean that sounds like me!!!! Neither one wants to change the other they just want them as they are.Seth (Ghost) works with Brian in the tattoo parlour, he is definitely NOT Macys type but in a time of torment for Brian and Candace in Rock ME the two are thrown together in a fit of passion. Leave Me Breathless picks up where it left off, Seth is unsure whether Macy is still interested in him or if he was just a bit of rough for her, Macy is going through her own troubled times struggling to fit in anywhere. Her friends Candace and Sam decide to be very very naughty and on a night out arrange a meeting. Macy is mortified when she sees him walk in larger than life and her body betrays her. That is all I am going to say because you simply have to read it, I love these characters Seth is such a strong character he is what he is, he doesn`t hide behind his tattoos they are part of him, I just loved that they are positive scars to remind him of the good times and big events in his life it is such a relevant point. I just want to cuddle Macys Dad he just represents everyone's Dad I think and he reacts in exactly the same way as mine did when I brought my own tattooed skinhead home to meet him, 14 years together and we are still going strong, maybe this is why I favour this book. Having bought all 3 on kindle I have now asked for the paperbacks because these are books to be loved and cherished and I will read them over and over again. The minute I finished I found myself missing them, it is an exceptional writer that can make you feel so attached to the characters and cry with them, laugh with them and miss them when they have gone, these are now part of my life, my friends thank you.

Didn't leave me Breathless
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2012Verified Purchase
Well this book did not make me pant, sweat and nor did it give me palpitations. I had difficulty with reading this story and it has taken me over a week to actually finish it. It moved slowly and it seemed like I was reading two books.
The beginning was hot and heavy with sex scene after sex scene with very little character development or story. It gathered momentum around 50% into it and we begin to see the development of the two characters and the storyline.
Good-girl-meets-bad-boy and inevitably sparks fly. Macy is a former rodeo princess with a fairly normal existence. Her life is planned; she likes to control it and would give her heart to Mr. Right.
Ghost (Seth) doesn't care, he is all muscle, tattooed and pierced. The first thing that people notice about Ghost is his tough exterior. Macy has steered away from this kind of man all her life but like two magnets, they are drawn to each other.
Despite believing that it could never work out between them they start a relationship which is intense but never expecting it to lead anywhere but the bedroom, the car or the restaurant. However, their bond grows and their carnal attraction blossoms into much more but their baggage and their problems with other relationships start showing up. Macy is unable to see any future with Ghost. She fears his lack of structure and ambitions and is afraid to give into her feeling for him.
Ghost is afraid to love again. He is tainted from his past relationships and won't believe that a nice girl like Macy would want him but does Ghost's prejudices allow him to have his happy ever after with Macy or does it drive him back to his wild ways? Does Macy let go of her controlled life and find happiness with Ghost?
Overall I failed to connect with this story. The fact that I picked it up and put it down and read another book in between says it all for me. If you are a fan of Cherrie Lynn I am sure you will like this novel but for me it just left me flat.

Just got it today! Fast delivery, in perfect condition. The only thing I didn't like is the feel of the cover. I don't know what type of paper it is, but it feels as I have to clean the book :) haha. Anyway, I have read it before and bought it to have it signed on #rare16. I loved the story and the way the author expresses herself. Highly recommend Cherrie Lynn to any bookworm out there!
