Ariane is a French cook who is holding cooking classes over the weekend in her Parisian kitchen. The 6 students are Peter, Mary, George, Charles, Jena, and Thomas. By the end of the weekend, everyone has found their someone, apart from married couple Jena and Thomas.

There are a few nice recipes at the back. Cheese souffle and more. The romances are definitely more lust than love with everyone's mind on the bedroom. What was in those soufflés? Adult readers only.
I like Mary's character who upon turning 40 chose to live in the moment while on vacation in Paris and test her boundaries. She hooks up with George, the stoic (to everyone else other than Mary) author taking the class for research on his next book. Ariane is cute and she is trying to save herself from a broken heart by not getting involved with Peter. Her resistance however is dwindling by the end.
It was a fun and different kind of love story. I liked how the author intermingled views from the different characters. Now it's off to read book 2.
In this particular class, several romantic connections are made. You can sort of understand how a one hour meeting can result in a very satisfying night. I liked all of the characters and as you get in their heads you understand their personalities. The men were good strong characters and I especially liked how the professor made his situation work. Neat for a guy to make such arrangements when usually guys just want it all and expects it to fall in their lap. The writer was dark and moody until the right gal came along and then his best assets came out or up however you want to look at it. I thought the sex scenes were good and in keeping with the storyline.
Overall I liked the book and would recommend it. It was a very different read but good. Several stories in one. Entertaining.
