This is an amazing book. It is a very detailed look at behavioural psychology. It discusses traditional (metholodogical), radical (Skinnerian) and modern behaviourism in a clear, non-dogmatic way. It explains the main theories and explores the problems with these theories as well. Numerous experiments are described. The book is written for those with some background in behavioural psychology without requiring expert knowledge. Mazur also takes a look at areas not sufficiently explained by the behavioural approach by considering important findings from the domain of cognitive psychology.

Extremely helpful in conjunction with the learning psychology course I took. These topics can get pretty in depth and the book explains them very clearly. I highly recommend it!

This book is not for the faint of heart but is indispensable for anyone seriously into the field of behavior. In the animal training field it is one of the five top books that I and many other trainers recommend. Marked four stars only because it is not for the casual reader.
